Is the Herculaneum skeleton possibly Pliny the elder who went to help the people and was overcome by the gases from the volcano? He was a soldier.
He was using his ship to help people escape, I thought.
So, anyone can buy and sell a corpse as an oddity display? This seems highly illegal, not to mention unethical! Is Andy willing to sell me his Fathers corpse, that I might display in my Freak show?
Sure, why not? He's not using it.
(6:57) Wow so excited about a gunslinger mummy from the olden times!
Everybody gangsta until the mummy moves
I’m not sure I’m buying this story as no one knows about this man. However, his preservation is excellent. Perhaps better than the Egyptian mummies
I have a separate study with the mummy of OTZI and i found out that the mummy has been accidentally drift off the cliff and injured with sharp twigs, he could have survive but because it's winter he died from hypothermia.😅
I really enjoyed this. Always have had a passion for mummies
Mister up date your info , have been many years since they have find out that otzih was was killed by an arrow
I saw a woman mummy when I was a kid. I was fascinated by the “fact” that her hair and nails grew after she died. Lol 😆!
This was my first look @ your channel. Excellent, entertaining video. Thank you. Subbed.
Sweet upload. Cheers!!
The curiosity should had lived on IMO. when dude stuck the drill bit in his "BH" and debunked the bullet ...I was like REALLY DUDE...... WHY.
This is clearly Buford “Mad Dog” Tannen from Back to the Future III
Love this channel
ONLY in the US, would you have a poor mummified corpse used as an attraction! Still now the Smithsonia(ie US Gov) are making money out of this individual. RIP.
Not exactly sure how them having a mummy on display is any different than any museum with an Egyptian display of mummies. England has a huge collection of mummies and artifacts that they refuse to return because it is a money maker for them. Years ago, during England's Imperial times, the rich would have mummy unwrapping parties to increase their social standing with others.
@@lisaseverance6785 Yes, your correct and there is mounting pressure in the UK to have these types of cultural heirlooms returned to their homelands, but there is big $$£££€€ in having them. I've seen a few up close, and I've been saddened by their current circumstances. Don't forget most of these items are actually stolen at a government sanctioned level - Really sad. We need to respect the dead, just as much as the living, but perhaps that's the issue?! Keep safe and well.
Egypt also has mummies in museums & make money from admittance. Otzi is also on display in a European museum. I don't recall which country right now.
One of the most interesting documentaries I’ve seen. Not sure how I feel about the Andean Girl being on display, I think that she should stay on the mountain where she was found.
If she was put there someone would take/destroy her. I have very little doubt she'd last long. As much as I feel the same, she's better protected where she is
@@bawbag8903 yeah, I think you’re right. It’s a tough topic for sure!
@@thesparkypilot Agreed!
Poor ole Sylvester...the way his hands are and considering what he was, I'll bet he held a rifle....
Fantastic discovery.
Wait …. There were bow and arrows before the wheel ?
King tut and the other pharaohs were very old yet ancient.I love history!🤴🤴
You are jumping from one mummy to the next without any conclusion, without any clear-cut.
GEDmatch says I'm related to otzi how cool is that. I've seen Sylvester in Seattle in person "Go Hawks"
Incredible reconstructions, wow, thank you
Great vids
I love the animations
Svlvester looks like Freddie Mercury 😅
one of the few mummies that wasnt beef jerkied
The Maiden is still beautiful even now.
Who is narrating this? I keep thinking it's Jason Priestly. Sounds just like him!
Is it me or does the Croghan Man segment seem back to front? We learned how he died as a leader? He was beheaded. Then it's who he might have been and "how did he die? 🤔"
