Well it's great that someone is utilizing this effect but it's not really a discovery or revelation, except perhaps in the specifics of his device. Not trying to diminish this young man's efforts, but there are videos all over RUclips showing setups that utilize the same effect. One little utilized approach that would have the greatest impact would be harvesting water from the air conditioning/cooling process of buildings. I've seen it being done on a college campus in hot, drought ridden Texas, where they were supplying all the landscape watering needs with just the harvested water, which in turn offset the cost of electricity for cooling the buildings. Two birds with one stone is always better. This is also more efficient because they are simply adding a component onto an already established system that does all the "work", so there is no need for a separate facility or laying miles of copper pipe to form a condenser network.

The invention is the combination of a small power generator and the use of temperature difference between the humid air and the cooler earth in one small independent device. AerialGuardian The Israelis just came up with a system of micro sized plastic type tubeing that screens salt out of salt water from the ocean.
I'd recommend distilling it. A lens that is a yard wide can focus sunlight 12" from its center and melt steel in 3 minutes. You only need a set of lens, a foot in diameter, in a box set, as in an array configuration, to evaporate a whole bunch of salt water in an oil barrel lets say, there is your salt water to fresh water, distiller.
Look up how to make a water distiller on RUclips.
The water is mineral empty and over time your body will need minerals as would plants.
Enter the salt water filtration. That water has minerals. Combine the two waters and bottle it for sale$$. Ka-jing.😎

My dehumidifier and evap coil produced 20gallons of water a day, every day for the months of July and August. 1200 gallons of fresh water from one household. Used it to water my garden and wash the trucks. We can pump sludge cross-country, we can do the same with H2O.

luke france , Of course it is similar tech as a dehumidifier. Except, this is much lower tech. And it may have a big problem if used long enough to grow germs or algae, or collect dirt from ambient air...the thing is a prototype, but has great potential if developed beyond its initial flaws.

When you start trying to compensate for the pollution you accumulate and the pathogens you breed in the dehumidifier, it goes from being more expensive than just shipping the water in to tremendously more expensive than just shipping the water in.
The lack of minerals is vastly overblown as an issue. You're not going to suffer hyponatremia or an electrolyte imbalance from drinking distilled water unless you also decide to stop eating.

You can buy dehumidifiers, they take a lot of power. This method would heat up the ground, and you would get a few grams of water. Much better to use a large solar panel, around 2000 watts, and hook it up to a store bought dehumidifier. Both parts are well engineered and proven, this guy has proven nothing.

You cannot get around the laws of thermodynamics. It is way cheaper to literally ship water to impoverished areas than send these large dehumidifiers that will barely get any water when humidity is less than 30%.

There are a alot of dumb comments on these video but how it works is simple. Remember the big the fan for the in take air the better. As you force lot value of air in tiny space it gets hot and hotter then he sides though a copper coil under ground with is cooler the the in coming air so out the end you get water if you also have the coils in a body of water it would cool it even faster getting you ever more water. it's a simple idea they are called dehumidifiers. Don't go around removing tons of water from the air without doing some serious planting trees brushes grasses wheats hops corns peppers tomatoes mosses heck even use some to grow mushrooms then after the logs no longer produce mushrooms bury in the ground to help the soils hold onto more water when it rains.
