@@endernotchstaff2306 bit having them together is the point you aren’t being knocked back but you’re knocking back enemies farther just doesn’t make sense
I personally think it's much much safer for the last phase to just pogo on her constantly. the orbs will move upwards and basically miss every time, as they go off screen. If you dash sideways at the last second you can often continue the pogo. If she moves too far away, a simple press of the jump button will give you enough time to land on a platform. The tricky part is when the timing of the energy balls matches with the timing of you landing back on a platform, but the same can be said for a regular strategy. An alternative way is to go to the left platform, and jump away from a spawning energy ball, in an arc that goes the opposite direction and then once you double jump, towards the initial spawning point of the energy ball. (So say the ball comes from your right, you initially jump left and double jump clockwise), this will cause the balls to follow you, and because you double jumped, will track you but end up off screen and vanish. You can do this endlessly, and hit radiance with a single cheeky slap every time she appears in your vicinity. Basically, there's no need to follow her around if you know she will spawn next to you anyway. Still, great vid. Definitely a lot of good tips. I still actually have trouble with dodging the energy balls in her 4th phase (the one with all the platforms) and the rng beams of the 5th phase can ruin a no hit attempt any day.
I found it easier in the climb phase to jump up the platforms at the same time each beam fully forms and becomes capable of damage in a rhythm. The beam line shows and either get away or wait (depending on location), jump as the beam forms, and repeat until you get to the top using the same tempo as the beam formations. IDK if you're still doing Absolute Radiance Radiant attempts, but I hope this helps!

Thank you Nyedred. If it no one had sent me this video, I would have never found it. All of the advices you give are godlike and it helped me so much from attuned AbsRad to radiant AbsRad, which I just defeated. There's just one more tip that's missing in this video: Whenever AbsRad teleports above you and your platform, I suggest using descending dark, since you have little to no reaction time to lasers and sword bursts and only start hitting her after the attack you just dodged using invincible-frames. Again, thank you so much, this video and you were my saviors.
I'm happy I could help you out a bit! When I was first attempting this I noticed a real lack of guides for this fight out there, so I'm glad my attempt is reaching some people. Descending Dark is a very popular strat for use in this fight due to its i-frames - but I have personally always been bad at using it for that purpose, and prefer saving Soul in the fight for Abyss Shriek anyway.

I just don't understand why this fight in particular has to be such bullshit. NKG and PV are actually fun and reasonable, AbsRad is so RNG it's not even funny. Making it to the climb stage requires some serious skill and could already be a perfectly valid final boss without everything that follows, but then there's a luck check that has no reliable countermeasures, and your perfectly valid attempt could be completely nuked by luck not being on your side. It's just bad design P.S. And it's such an enormous jump in difficulty too. I'm at a point where i can reliably do PV without getting hit, but i have only beaten AbsRad once because something always goes wrong. And it takes so long that around the 3rd attempt you get an adrenaline crash, making you completely fail everything until you take a long break, by which point you really don't want to come back to this awful fight
Agreed. I've beaten this boss 6 times and I still don't feel like beating it was my skill, more that I was lucky and she kept using attacks that I knew how to dodge.
I don't think the climb is that bad; I did it hitless quite often. It's just that I almost never got there in my attemps, most ended in phase 2, almost all the rest in phase 4. But yes, it is an enormous jump in difficulty compare to any other boss in the game. Althought NKG and PV are far from being the second hardest in radiant. White Defender, Watcher Knights, Grey Prince Zote, Galien even, were all worse in my opinion.
Even though there is a major rng factor involved (at least when compared to other bosses), I think it's a good thing. With enough practise you can beat her reliably. It's not only the jump of difficulty but also a change of paradigm. The majority of bosses' attacks are from them to you. You have to dodge, then attack before they're gone. In contrast, abs rad is a giant punchbag and her attacks cover the entire screen. Instead of using muscular memory to react to a certain attack, you have to think in the time window of the attack how to dodge it. However, I do agree there are some really shitty patterns.
