I just found this channel the other day and I’m so glad that I did. Watching your videos makes me so, so happy. I think the bachelor boys are my favorite. I could watch the chimps all day long. They’re so fascinating and their interactions with each other are hilarious. Thank you to all the staff for rescuing and caring for these beautiful creatures!

This is my new favorite episode 😆. I am amazed on how Oshean was able to run away from Almay so fast. Like OMG she was rolling all around that room. 😂
She did the runway fall then the rough and tumble roll with all the grace in the world.

i love orangutans so much lol. and gibbons, well shoot i like all of them. but orangs are so fascinating. o’shean cracks me up so much. big ole lady seemed like a different animal when she was running from the other one

Hi to all. I truly admire the work you all are doing. My sympathies for Alison and the loss of Jim. I truly admire Jeramy and the other fellow that takes care of the baby monkey's. I love animals, and have been studying the primates and their body languages ever since I have had quiet a few encounters with Sasquatches here in the USA. I know they say these creatures don't exist, but in fact they are and there are far more of them than most people think. I have a greater understanding about Primates since I have been watching your RUclips videos. Thanks Jessie from Arkansas USA.

I am hoping the producers can look at the level of music in relation to the voices. Lately the music has gotten louder and understanding as many of use are not from your country is difficult. oshean was clearly treated as a human for entertainment from her original owners. she walks bipedal so often and easily. it’s sad that they wouldn’t be responsible and keep her weight down

Oshean is the one asking for it. She was the one making the threatening calls when they brought her in and then in the enclosure. I wonder if it's because she was hand raised by humans and given her way, she thought they humans would jump in on her side.

I cannot imagine Oshean acting like a mother - her upbringing, as a spoiled human child gave her no preparation for even interacting with her own kind, let alone nuturing a baby

*If reincarnation really is a thing I hope to come back as either an orangutan or as a chimpanzee and that I get to stay & live out my days at monkey world with getting to have Jeremy as my caretaker & one of the older female chimps or orangutans for my foster mom & yes I'm well aware if i end up getting sent to monkey world that means either my parents were either poached & killed for bush meat sparing me to be sold for a quick buck on the black market would all have to transpire just to be eligible to where I could be rescued my honestly id rather be there with no worries of horrible violence, having to worry about scavenging for everytime i to need to eat, and lastly not having to sleep outside in some huge jungle*

Black currant juice is not anything I’ve ever heard of or seen here on the west coast of the U.S. but I have heard of it and seen it on another UK television show. The Secret Life of the Zoo is filmed at Chester Zoo and shown on Animal Planet here in the U.S. The one time I heard of/saw black currant juice the keepers were giving it to their orangutans as well!
This is just a guess but maybe they call it squash while we call it juice? Since you have to squash the berries to get the juice from them? I might be totally wrong with that thinking but in my mind it makes sense.

Squash is what they call fruit drinks that are not pure juice. More like what we know as those vitamin enriched fruity drinks. And black currant is a favourite flavour in the UK

Poor A-mei. I would be scared out of my mind too if I saw Oshean! Oshean hasn’t lost much weight. Jeremy should never be so involved with these apes. Unheard of at a rescue of any kind. They also have the highest rate of newborns rejected by their mothers. Again, too much human interaction. Plus most rescues put the females on birth control. So, they have more room for rescues.

Do not correct them like human children. They aren't us! Stay out of their business and let them take care of things their own way. No matter how much we as humans like to think we know so much and we know best, the fact remains that we do not understand. THESE ARE NOT DISPLAY PETS!
Oshin reminds me of when i was sent to youth prison 1994 and how scared i was because i was not even 15 yet and i actually got adopted as a little brother by an enormous skinhead dude there called kaj and he stood up for me when a dude from the black gangs tried picking on me and whoped his ass. Poor oshin
