A loyal subscriber did point out to me, I used the same picture for both the before and after of the compression testing on the bat.
The chart reflects where the bat was after our swings, just the picture of the bat on the tester is inaccurate.

Leaving the banter and real time thoughts in there makes for a longer video, but I personally enjoy letting people see the more uncut side of things.
It’s funny to me how all the hype on the one piece bats cause back in 2012 that’s all we swung than the freak 12 dropped and the Brett hall legit light and the og white dc 41 were for and everyone was hitting bombs than after that 2 piece hype for like 10 years now seams like the one piece bats are making a comeback hotter than ever am with this 240 era lol . Seams like DeMarini always had 2 piece bats though not sure they ever had one pieces. Maybe 2 piece ruled the 220 days. Nowdays there a lot of proof with exit velos too.
My completely untested and uneducated theory - 2 piece bats are WAY more forgiving most times, and in the 220 era the barrels were so good that it didn't matter what handle was attached to them. Most people choose the path of least resistance (a better feeling bat vs a small increase in performance) so two piece bats were a mainstay.
While the 240 standard bats are definitely absurd in their own right, I feel like the 240's as a whole have stiffer barrels than the 220 standard bats did. In my mind, going to a one piece construction offers more rigidity on contact. With that means since the two piece connection isn't there to take energy away, so that energy has to go somewhere. That somewhere is the compression in the barrel of the bat. More barrel compression = more performance.

This KP one piece or the Bedlam one piece? Which would you say is hotter?
Short answer - you don't lose either way.
Long answer - My only rant with the one piece Bedlams is the lack of loading they seem to have. The one piece KP is loaded WAY better. So it is honestly hard to tell if the better loading on the one piece KP made it bat better, or if the barrel itself was actually better. The barrels felt nearly identical, FWIW.

I don't believe so. I think this and the Everett Williams are the only ones in the pipeline right now.
