I'm so happy for Sinner, the mental toughness it takes to even play tennis after that French Open Final loss is so difficult. He dispelled the demons in his head today. Congrats to Sinner on your 1st Wimbledon and congrats on Alcaraz on another great Wimbledon run.

Great match, but I want to praise Sinner for his excellent manners on the court. He never loses control, even when he loses. He never humiliates his opponent when he wins, as if he were embarrassed❤. Besides being polite, he's good! I'm very proud of this guy.😍

There’s so much respect between these two. When Alcaraz fell, Sinner could’ve easily finished the point, but he just played it in softly instead. The look on his face while Carlos was on the ground said it all, he genuinely cared, that’s real sportsmanship.

Federer won too, I think that's it now, I doubt Novak at 39 is winning Wimbledon and tying 8. I mean yes, he'll still be dangerous, but there's a 1% chance he can do that 7 matches in a row at 39.

  • @cks2020693

I've said this before and I will say it again. Sinner has unapparelled mental game, this guy out of tournaments for 3 months, comes back so strong like he never took a break. Loses French Open final to Alcaraz just a month ago from 2-0 to 2-3 and he took the loss so gracefully, no tantrums, no racquet smashing. and then losing in early rounds in the next tournament. Then he meets Alcaraz in Wimbledon final a month later, against Alcaraz who's been nothing but total dominance on grass, and Sinner still wins it 3-1.

Tennis at its best. Jannik Sinner produced one of the most incredible rallies of technically brilliant running and inch perfect strikings as well as placements of ball across the court. That half volley he did through the legs showed sheer confidence and balance he has. That defeat at Rolland Garros was an accident but he overcame it with a statement win here. He will be favourite to go for Novac's tally of 24 Grand Slam titles. Alcaraz is also a hard working athlete . These two both are of good demeanour, humility . Tennis world is lucky to have heir of legends Federar-Nadal-Djokovic

Sport is much more than "simple" athleticism. Sinner won against yet another brilliant crowd-raiser. The purity of his soul is evident in his attentiveness to his opponent's falls, in his never taunting his opponent, in his greeting and thanking a ball boy, in his raising his arms in victory, a childish gesture that too many athletes have abandoned. Sinner and his staff are providing polite emotions that are ridding the audience of the usual boors. A great moment for sport, especially for my Italy.

It's similar for both I think, just different styles. I'm a Sinner fan but would say Alcaraz is more complete, but Sinner tops it in some aspects. Just like Federer would be more complete than Djokovic and Nadal but these two had some aspects they dominated in, also in match up.

Really impressed with Sinner’s mental strength, fortitude and self belief. With the fresh memory of losing an utterly bruising and an epic French Open final in 5 long sets, and then losing the first set of the Wimbledon final after being a break up, I thought it would be impossible for him to come back and win the match. They both have elevated the game to such heights in such a short time, it is beyond belief. Their level of play is the best I have seen. Those who were wondering about the state of tennis after the retirement of the big three, wonder no more. The tennis and athleticism of these two is even better than the big three…hard to comprehend.
