Valve doing their absolute best with unique voice lines. Clearly they are having fun doing unique holiday details alongside actually working on various mechanics; hoping they keep up with it!
John-Patrick Lowrie’s such a gem OMG. His VO work alone makes Dynamo a top 3 character in the roster for me, so I’m so glad we got unique lines like these for the holiday event. I hope we get similar stuff for other characters and other events in the future too! Great video and happy holidays!
Good question! I wondered that too. So far from what I've read nothing really seems to be indicating it. Neither WW1 either. The only war that there is stuff about is the Ixian war
@@DedLocko Not including *World War 2* seems like a missed opportunity. The *Reich* was quite fond of the occult, so including them in the lore would make sense.
@madarpauser2133 Very true! Maybe it's such a mass of lore by itself that they decided to leave it out and figure it out how to include it. So maybe they are still cooking? Hopefully imo!
@@DedLocko Something else came to my mind about World War 2. Yamato is from Japan. She came to the US before the events of Deadlock, but how much earlier, i do not know. If she could travel from Japan to the US, than World War 2 might not happened, or at the very least Japan wasn't part of it.
@madarpauser2133 Also another good point. it's not really "travel" but rather fleeing in Yamato's (Kaori) case. However, her brother Yamato (which name she took after a misunderstanding on arrival) planned to travel to America to expand their organisation, Seventh Moon. I think when you are connected to underground organisations (i assume it is) you stand a bit above the normal conventions and gives you more freedom to do what you want. Also since the Deadlock we know of, is set in 1949, WW2 is done for 4-5 years and travel may be possible again from enemy sides., during that time she could've entered the US. Aaand it seems that Yamato also despises speaking English a bit? But maybe I am reading into it too much.

Dang, Lash really hated by the whole cast 😂
From what i know, *Deadlock* takes place in an alternate 1949.
This makes me wonder. Did *World War 2* happened in this timeline? 🤔🤔🤔
