the original block Blanco rubbed off over tim as a fine dust and later on during its use (on the 37 pat )it was used to help with concealment of the webbing. brilliant video very helpful too
Hi There, I always dampen down my webbing if i want to add a second coat. But I know other people who just put the blanco on by mixing it with a 1/4 of a cut of water and then pasting the blanco on thick.
+CosmoWW1 Renactor: You mean the webbing I have? In this film I used the bog standard Sof gear. But when I joined Great War Society they have original sets and know where to get the best reproduction webbing from. I know that Pegasus Militaire make the best repro uniforms in the correct colour to original patterns. And I know William Lennon & Sons in Northamptonshire still make their original B5 Lennon boots to order. (They made the originals) Hope this helps?
I was just checking as I have a very nice st from WPG but I was curious as to what u had I do own a pair of lennons of boots and they're extremely high quality
Will Llawerch I tend to look at SOFs inventory and noticed they have an original British tunic from ww1, and the color of the tunic looks really good in comparison of their reproduction. I do know that if you are going to be buying SOF webbing you need to go for the high quality tab and not the standard quality.

How many bottles of blanco do I need for all the webbing?
Hi WW2, I used two on this set. However, on my newest set, I ended up using 5 bottles simply because it was coming out patchy. Hope this helps?
Will Llawerch Cheers
What type of blanco is yours?
I was a British army cadet in the seventies and we had to blanco our belts and gaiters what a pain in the arse
Do you a higher quality and more accurate to the original as a pose to the SOF stuff in the video?
