Young Man - no need to apologize for the 'view.' Once the sun goes down the view is the same at every camp spot any where in the world. I watch many camping videos - some are stone silent, some music, some with conversation with the camper. Some people like only one type and are silly enough to give a thumbs down when they see a new video and its not their preference. You have about a 1.5% thumbs down versus the thumbs up. That is stellar success for making great videos. Plus outdoor prepared food and cooking over an open fire makes for a delicious meal where ever you are. Pls keep up the great work - there are thousands of folks who love what you do!
I have checked out a bunch of your videos and I like all of them. They are all done very well. Everything is natural, not staged like reading a script for a tv show.
I watch a few camping channels because they relax my nerves after a hard day, and what I enjoy most is the part where campers prepare and cook their meals. It seems to be the climax of the trip, saying I did it, I'm here too stay for the night. Feel free to talk about it all you want, that's just my opinion. I enjoy your channel a lot, have fun and be safe :)
I do love your videos. I’ve been poorly for a few years (injured legs, heart failure) and don’t get out much so being ‘outside’ with you makes me feel less claustrophobic. But I don’t watch your videos for bushcraft style, I watch you because you are funny and interesting. And us Yorkshire folk have to support each other 😁 Great video 👍♥️
Absolute belta mate!!!! Keep the vids comin you are the most real person on you tube !!!!!. Me and my boys been watching loads and they are brilliant and informative and funny !!! Total class mate 👍
I absolutely agree with you pal, it's not about the location, it's just good to get outdoors and back to the simple things, zero stress. Keep up the great content, your personality makes these videos.
I’ve hung my hammock up between two shipping containers in a storage yard. It was still a fun camp. You do have some funky kit Dan. Almost all the quirky kit I see is on your channel.
I've had the same fire pit for almost 5 years now Dan. It's an awsome bit of kit and almost bullet proof! Mines been all over the country with me and kept me warm on many cold nights. Fully agree about keeping local, saves having to leave the car in the middle of nowhere as well if you can walk out from home. Great vid bud, cheers and keep safe....
I found putting a bungee round the foot end keeps a bit extra cold out but most importantly....keep a piss bottle handy so you don't have to get out!! LOL
@@oldbaldguy6151 Its part of the winter Hammock Experience as you are standing there doing your Business in the Cold of Night just look up at the Stars and moon, it makes it enjoyable 😃

I was out myself that night on the shore of the Northumberland coastline. My 2nd solo camp out in the wild. It was a lovely still night if a bit chilly! Keep up the great work, your videos are inspiring!
Great one Dan! Like the subtle changes in your video style too. and I couldn't agree more. Doesn't matter which bit of outdoors you are in, it's just being outdoors that makes the difference. Of course, having permission helps with the relaxing too!! All the best fella. Thank you for sharing.
Another great video. I'd be interested in a "whats in my bag" video, i find it fascinating how to you manage to pack all that equipment (hammock, sleeping bag, cocoon, big kettle etc) all in a relatively small rucksack. Keep up the good work
Your videos just get better and better. Great balance between doing things, showing new kit and talking. I like that you don’t use music too. And your camera work is excellent ( I think you just use a smartphone for shooting And editing? It just shows what can be done! ) I think your biggest appeal is that neither you nor the videos are pretentious ... just down to earth, honest and respectful. Keep ’em coming!! And thanks for all your effort ... I know just how much time and commitment is needed just to make 1 video, let alone run a channel. Much appreciated.
Hi English Woodman I watch your videos all the time I was planning to do my first wild camp but i was taken into hospital with suffering a small stroke. I am out not now and planning to the the first camp most like early new year keep up doing the great videos
Good video again .your Wright about not having to go a long way from home to enjoy a good overnight camp.my favourite wood is about 10 miles away from my home .Because of lock down I have not been able to travel to France ware I spend most of my time wild camping because from my home to the forest eu just out side of the village of eu .is just 3 hours away.if I go to the Lake District or Yorkshire it take me hours. AND the new stove is fantastic me and my so have got one good for a fire pit or to cook on looking forward to your next video
I want one of those folding firepit grills in a bag. Besides using it for camping I can use it at work to keep warm and cook lunch. I work outdoors a lot in the cold. Cooking is easier when the grill top is higher.
i'm in the Smokey mountains (Tennessee side.) Cumberland sausage rings...reminds me years ago we used to go to a pub near Scarborough and have them with lashings of strong homemade horseradish sauce. Thanks for reminding me!

I'd love for you to take the time to work your way through several sleeping mats. Thank you for your reading,
I'm a fan of a channel run by Steve Wallis from Canada. What he shows is that camping can be many different styles in various types of locations. The spirit of camping is far more than the sleeping setup and location.
You're absolutely right, all you need is a quiet little plot out of the way and that spot looks lovely. I think those sausages were crummy looking what ever the name. Nothing like a nice warm night in a comfy hammock. Noise could have been farm vehicles. Happy camping mate.
Awesome vid!! I also have the snugpak cocoon and I live in the states -3 Celsius = to 26 degrees Fahrenheit that’s push the temp rating on the cocoon. I have hammock camped close to 30 degrees Fahrenheit and stayed warm all night. The sausages look awesome!!

Helps somewhat but it detracts from the hammock experience. When too cold it definitely helps in A-frame to block wind, but he could get a lot better by just lowering the hammock to leave a small gap on the floor - it really helps with the wind
Great video as always English Woods Man I enjoy the content in your videos that's why I keep coming back to watch more of your adventures camp fire cooking and a place to sleep that's what I'm about in the field with the tools to prep firewood I do exactly the same but I use natural fire starters that are like bits of cardboard I try to stay away from oudoures chemicals whenever atall possible but I also have a Tomshoo Spirit Burner I use Bioethanol in that I fond that's good enough to boil some water for a brew I use my LIXADA stove for cooking I also have a Tomshoo Titanium Stove I've yet to find the time to test.
