My man! Appreciate ya Dan. A new era for TesseracT! Pretty sure tiktok & short form content didn’t even exist when you guys last dropped, so that’ll be really fun to see how useful it is as a tool to push you guys to that next level🤝🏻
I just listened to this song a few days ago. I was hesitant because I wanted to listen in context of the album…but I couldn’t resist. I was waiting for your video. I remember when you first listened to Tesseract. They’re a special band in a similar way to me. (We also have two similar “four horseman” - Tesseract, monuments, the Contortionist, between the buried and me, silent planet). I first started listening when altered states released. They’ve been a top band for me since then. This song to me is the accumulation of all their albums. Each album up till now explored something slightly different… - One- harsh/aggressive/establishing their djent styles - altered states- flow of the album/songs, playing with space - Polaris - a softer atmosphere - Sonder- more modern production, more dichotomy between riffage and atmosphere than Polaris So stoked for this album 🙏🤘
The new album is also a concept about two people called ex and el living in an alternative dimension that's molded by the social state of our own world so paying alot of attention to the lyrics this time would be beneficial in future reactions to understand the story being told in the album 😁 the track is a solid 10/10 for me
Been saying that Dans been my favorite vocalist ever since I first heard him 10 years ago and that’s not changing. This is everything I was hoping for and have been playing it non stop since the premier. This band just hits the right spot for me and probably always will

When I first discovered Tesseract, my thoughts were exactly "This is the shit that I wanna write" they're my favorite band of all time and one of my biggest musical inspirations along with VOLA, Skyharbor, The Contortionist, and Between The Buried And Me
8:40 when that background ambience kicks in with the groove gives me huge Uneven Structure vibes. Also 11:22 I thought there was a random Maynard feature when I first listened lol-huge tool vibes. I can not wait for the album.
You said the one section towards the beginning with the first real groove section sounded like one… I have a bombshell for you. Listen to that after listening to proxy again :)
Man what a ways we've come. Great work on this. I've been into the band since Altered States was new but it's clear your passion is just as deep as mine. I've seen them twice.. The first time Dan added me on Instagram after i had posted videos from the show. The second time i actually got to get in mic with Dan, and some how i pocket unfriended him after sending a message..i think during the chaos of the between and buried and me pit. Great times 😅 hope you walk away with the best memory ever bro
8:40 (in your vid)to me is one of the most signature things that TesseracT do. Those are the same sort of grooves that Meshuggah made popular and Acle does the same sort of thing but uses his own trademark tone and it’s just marvelous.
Theres nottin' better than the feeling of a band who opened doors for you in the first place to return, and take you into new areas again. The reaction here brilliantly conveyed that. Like seeing yer best mate after a separation, to instantly effortlessly have a chemistry again, a new progressive chemistry fused with foundations from 'fore. Makes you realize all over again why you were close in the first place, whilst moving forward with them aswell. Thats the power of a long term love of a band.
This band... is something very special to me. I dont really know how to describe it. It's almost like they've been there to help guide me at really important moments in my life. Makes me want to use that hippie fried term "synchronicity" to be honest. And they have absolutely helped shape my musical taste and my worldview both lol. Ya know those chills people chase with their favorite music and it doesnt always happen? That thing that is why people listen to intense music to begin with? Man i get those chills just talking about this band. This song is so far the highlight of my year i think. (Although im going to do everything in my power to see them this fall. Theyre coming shockingly close to my little nowhere hillbilly town on my best friend's (and fellow tesseract fan's) birthday. I cant fucking stop playing this song, it's like i've found bigfoot or something, Im showing everyone like i used to when tesseract dropped new material. I still often think about the first time this band really sunk in. It was an authentically lifechanging experience. P.S. No, no other band has ever, or will ever djent as well as tesseract. No one will ever out pink floyd pink floyd either. no one will ever out greatful dead the grateful dead. No one will ever out Led Zepplin led zepplin

Glad to see the boys back in great form and expecting a great album. Daniel's vocal show such an incredible range and I liked the section when there was some distortion on his voice... You mentioned that Dan is a gamer. They definitely took some inspiration with the lyrics at the end there from "The Wolven Storm" from The Witcher 3. "To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep" compared to "To dream of flowing locks untwisted And auburn eyes glistening as you weep". Maaybe a little bit too much. Great track though!
