    You mentioned once about Dylan Patrick that you have been inspired by, but you have also perfected this art if not more than him. I have followed your many tutorials and many of them are really good! I have learned quite a few things from you. Thanks for sharing!

    I'm also still using SB-800s for individual headshots. I actually find that the Nikon onboard optical triggering system (Nikon CLS) works extremely well - either in TTL or manual mode. No need to monky with RF, unless you tend to shoot through walls or around corners. When it comes to larger groups or a series of many sitters - I still prefer using strobes. Things have changed and you don't need to spend $2000 for a Profoto B1. Godox and others are making awesome and inexpensive lights with lithium batteries, TTL, HSS, lots of power.

    Thanks Rafel for the gear information! I always use Speedlights when I am out of studio. So much easier, lighter than studio strobes. I use Paul Buff Einstiens in studio, but on location>>>I with you on the Speedlights!

    Why do you use a trigger and not the Nikon ir system?

    Have you try another light modifier than the small deep octa in the kiker light? Could be possible to use a different modifyer And Get a similar effekt? Thanks from Norway.

    • @RafalWegiel
      @RafalWegiel  6 лет назад +2

      Yes I have used different ones ....each modifier gives You a different look so its important to pick the one which works best for your look...I found over the years that octa works best for the look I am going for.... the best way is just test them... I know photographers use different soft boxes so depends what You like.

    how do you hold the reflector so that it stands straight up?

    You mentioned you have no studio (is that still true?). Do you have a basic on location gear kit? What's included in that kit? I find I try to create one that is a compromise of between space and weight and necessary gear.

    At @5:09 you say you pay 40 bucks for each swivel adapter. These are actually a Godox (AKA "Sacred Cow" 神牛) product, which is known as an S-type Bowens mount adapter, and they are available on Amazon for around US$18 each.

      Agreed. Why is it that everyone on RUclips seems to think they need music behind their dialog? At least Rafael has the audio level set low unlike some RUclips videos where you almost can't hear what the person is saying.

    This video should be called the gear i use, and not lighting setup. You dont even mention setup

      He has mentioned the setup: background, kicker and main. Adjust distances, angles and power as needed.

    Is that a lighting setup just talking about a high speed sync trigger and a small octa and a big octa..Sorry but this channel spend hours of talking and the useful information is very little.It should be the opposite ..Watched many videos all the same you wait all the time to hear something useful .

    • @RafalWegiel
      @RafalWegiel  6 лет назад

      John Bamouk I deeply believe that all the information I share is very useful .... depends what you are looking for.... taking good photos it's not only a good camera and lighting system... I am sorry if you don't feel the same way....
