during which The Queen's procession moves through the Nave.
We praise thee, O God: we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship thee: the Father everlasting.
To thee all angels cry aloud:
the heavens, and all the powers therein.
To thee cherubin and seraphin: continually do cry,
Holy, holy, holy: Lord God of Sabaoth;
Heaven and earth are full of the majesty: of thy glory.
The glorious company of the apostles: praise thee.
The goodly fellowship of the prophets: praise thee.
The noble army of martyrs: praise thee.
The holy Church throughout all the world: doth acknowledge thee;
The Father: of an infinite majesty;
Thine honourable, true: and only Son;
Also the Holy Ghost: the Comforter.
Thou art the King of glory: O Christ.
Thou art the everlasting Son: of the Father.
When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man:
thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.
When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death:
thou didst open the kingdom of heaven to all believers.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God: in the glory of the Father.
We believe that thou shalt come: to be our judge.
We therefore pray thee, help thy servants:
whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious blood.
Make them to be numbered with thy saints: in glory everlasting.
Music: Te Deum in G
Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958)
I was privileged to be part of this procession, and I had to try hard not to show the huge amount of emotion I felt as we conducted the Sovereign to give thanks for Her reign.
Vivat Regina!
The most beautiful piece of music I’ve ever heard
This was a great day. I was outside the cathedral and the joy of the occasion was wonderful. Chants of God Save The Queen filled me with unimaginable emotion and pride. GSTQ!
this piece gives me chills...the power of an infinite majesty!!! :)
I have never heard this before. I would take this over any CCM song anyday!!
Marvellous indeed!
I have been lucky to have attended all three Jubilees. After the first in1977, I prayed that GOD would allow me to see a Golden and a Diamond Jubilee. The Golden Jubilee, sadly, had the cloud from the two royal deaths.
Anglican choral music at its finest!
This kinda hits hard ten years later. I'm not even British or a major fan of English royalty, yet considering how much her family has grown and yet how many senior players are not on the field during her Platinum Jubilee these days is actually sad. Some of course like her late great husband just passed away, but a few other candidates should've spared her sorrows.
We sing that song at the Dominican Republic today at our new president inauguration day.
Superb !!
😊👼👼
Blessed are thou Queen Elizabeth the Second and Blessed is thy rule and blessed is thy Royal Family;
Amen

lovely ascensions
Rest in peace ....
God please save the Queen from the flood of the Moors!
Safe from their sabres mean
by the horn on thine altar doors.
Is it possible to be a Christian and skip a communal worship? Don't you have time to spend an hour or two in the company of God and fellow beings while you 24x7 a week?
Muito lindo
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 SUCH MAJESTIC MUSIC 😍😍❤️🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Have you cut this piece short? The versions I have carry on after the 'everlasting' section
It ends here I'm afraid, rather abruptly, but that's how it finishes. Some have a gloria added but I agree with you...seems to hang!
Apparently verses were added to some versions:
[added later, mainly from Psalm verses:]
O Lord, save thy people : and bless thine heritage.
Govern them : and lift them up for ever.
Day by day : we magnify thee;
And we worship thy Name : ever world without end.
Vouchsafe, O Lord : to keep us this day without sin.
O Lord, have mercy upon us : have mercy upon us.
O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us : as our trust is in thee.
O Lord, in thee have I trusted : let me never be confounded.
They were making a wave with those bows 😅
That is precisely the idea, should look like a wave of curtsies and bows, so disrespectful and unworthy of being there those who do not, are worth nothing, in the Thai royal court is where everyone makes their best curtsies and bows before their sovereign, as it should be.
At least in this video there is a moment where clearly the mass is tilting evenly in step with Her Majesty, it is such a beautiful thing to see. 👑
really. what did you serve as?
hairs on the back of my neck
Why in the world is Her Royal Highness the very last in line all alone? That does not seem proper or according to protocol????
Her Majesty not Her Royal Highness!! She's last because she's the most important person there. Seems odd, I know, but that's the way it is with church processions. The most important comes last. In a simple parish church the choir processes in first, then the junior clergy then the parish priest...
That is the protocol at every single event, save for royal weddings, in which the bride is last. That said, I can't wait to see William walk his daughter Charlotte down the aisle, possibly as king. Although given Charles' age it's not outside the realm of possibility.
I have never seen the video, but I was so shocked to see the queen (before she went to hell and all) like what are the chances that I see this days after she dies
Cute, she’ll meet your bitch of a mother in hell, then
