@@JoanRudith Mariah said it was about finally forgiving Tommy and wishing him well as well as her sister ([plus others who had hurt her), and when that song came out in 2008 she was still close to her brother Morgan, she didn't cut him off til 2010.
JoanRudith Don't forget Side Effects was on the same album, so she was still dealing with Tommy issues. I always thought I Wish You Well was about Tommy (for the most part).
