I don't have a PC in particular so most of my cards are penny-sleeved and sorted by Sport->Year->Set->Number in ten 3,000 ct boxes. Also have some cards in binders, including a couple for odd-sized cards. '89 Bowman cards are cheap but they look decent on 8-page pockets. I moved some duplicates to binders, that way I can permanently display different cards and it doesn't become predictable. Easier to show off for trades. Don't have graded stuff but I keep toploaded cards in a separate custom cardboard box. Most of my duplicates are in twenty 660-ct boxes. Then a couple of drawers with unopened packs/boxes. Not as organized as I would like but it was way worse a couple of years ago.
You know what I do the nice thick card boxes at walmart that holds cards if I see a couple thats empty, I'll just ask the manager if I can have them. There they already have two or three dividers. Most importantly they are free. I'm not paying 15 bucks each for a cardboard box or 40 bucks for plastic ones. They work extremely well and save you a shit ton of money 😂could of spent all that money on something to hold your cards on actual cards to sell
Hey Matt. Thanks for the great video on setting up and storing cards to sell etc. It's the best one I've seen and super easy to follow, especially as I'm very early in the setup stage. I very much appreciate it mate. Regards Matt K 🙏
Thank you for a starting point. My dad used to have a card store in Florida. He closed it & just put cards in boxes with no order. I have found some in binders & card boxes but there are 100 of thousand cards loose in boxes. Alot are damaged due to that but what can you do...lol...
Took your advice on cardboard dividers but printed a paper with all the nfl man cave signs on it cut them out and taped with clear tape dividers came out clean💪🏽
Hey bro, cool channel. Awesome pc and love your organization. So I have sold to a customer in Australia and the shipping from here (United States) to him in Australia was very expensive so I ended up shipping him alot of extras. Anyway, so here were im from I get cards almost daily because it can be very cheap. Whats the hobby like there? Can you find blasters and retail at stores like here? And are there enough collectors there for there to be card shops and shows? Thanks ahead of time if you see this and get a chance to respond 👍
Hi mate, The hobby is huge here! If you go through my other videos, I've done vlogs at card shows and whilst they're nowhere near as big as the USA, we have a huge community over here. We don't get stuff at retail like you guys too much at shops, but our big card shops do so we have to pay a bit more 😬
Hi thanks for the video. I have a question…when going through sets, how do you decide what cards to keep and what do you do with the commons? What’s a good benchmark value ie $1 or .50 and up? I’m trying to reduce a collection down to top loaders only. Appreciate your advice.
When I was younger, I loved commons so I'd say either donate them to sport clubs or give them out with your orders. Honestly hard to tell, if it's junk era stuff, I'd give it out and modern stuff (which I like more), I'd sort through what I like.
In terms of look, probably a bottom 3 set for me, don't really like the acetate cards too much. Not sure in terms of value, but if you want a fun rip, go for it!
Love the carton dividers: cheap, practical and can be easily replaced. Also the post-its on the boxes, writing on them with a sharpie always looks ugly no matter how good penmanship you may have. And I hope that Zach Allen auto wasn't damaged by the tumble he took.
I tend to follow player movements alot so I just move them accordingly but if I forget and can’t find it, then I can narrow it down to what teams they’ve been at
Let me know your thoughts and how you organise your sports cards!

So your located in Australia?? Really curious how the hobby is in other countries
Yep!
What happens when a guy gets traded 6 times? How do you know what team to find his card?

You need a guillotine paper cutter for your cardboard.
would it work?
@@mattscardshop cuts very think stuff and Mitch MUCH easier than scissors or exacto knife.
