I pray you don’t get overwhelmed. It definitely helps to join the Facebook groups cuz they usually have recipes they share with each other. You learn so much and feel like it’s doable since they give so many tips and hacks on how to add so many fruits and veggies every day. You also don’t want to eliminate everything at once or more than one item at once or else you won’t know what change helped.
Glory I wish you took us to Dollar tree as well. I love just seeing you shop and what you pick out. Your energy is just so transferable through a screen through RUclips so thank you for helping me throughout my cooking journey. I am so happy that you post these videos keep doing it please and have a great Thanksgiving.
don't worry glory once you get the hang of it it'll be easy work 😊 keeping the usual stuff always works out so i'm glad you aren't being so strict on what to get. the cart looked so good!!!!!!
Hi Glory... Same thing with the bananas... Put them in the fridge once they're ripe... Or you can wrap the stems with plastic and they take longer to ripen... 👍🥰
“We’re not really a raspberry family but I’m really tryna do something” 😂 she said we gotta lock in yall 🙏🏼 loveee and look up to you on how you take care of you and your family Glory, keep hustling mama🫶🏼
I love Paleo and will have to look into the Whal protocol. Honestly it’s hard until you get used to it. I’ve been gluten free for approx 17 years but paleo really helped the most with inflammation and reversal or improvement from disease
I think you are definitely being smart by adding before subtracting. I hope it goes well! It’s hard to change your diet so drastically but I understand why you all are.
Please show recipes to some of the stuff you bought. I need to start doing this with my husband and kiddos more so adding more than decreasing just like you guys are doing. 😊 loving these Aldi runs!!
Diet changes can be overwhelming! I am also switching to dairy free/gluten free for our family and I’m definitely learning that simple swaps once things run out in the house is the way to go. I wanted to go all out with the change, but that can be expensive!! 🤪 Best wishes to you and your family!
Don't feel like you have to follow it by the absolute letter. Many diet programs (I've been told a lot of them 🙄😂) are all similar with a special "gimmick". The things you were talking about actually sound similar to the Mediterranean diet, which isn't a "diet" in the way we usually use the word, but now a way of eating. Cutting gluten isn't fully necessary unless there's an allergy/sensitivity and unless you're replacing the benefits of the whole grains you're cutting with other foods. Gluten is actually in a lot of things you wouldn't think of, so cutting it completely is very hard. Also, some gluten-free products are more processed than the original so you have to weigh the worth of it if you're not dealing with celiac disease or an allergy. The dishes you made looked great!!! I think you made great compromises.
I highly recommend opting for organic fruits especially when it comes to strawberries. I'm also a frequent Aldi shopper and my store has a small organic section.
I love watching your shopping videos. You inspired me to go shop at Aldi's for groceries for my family. ALSO! GIRL! My husband thinks it is silly that I watch you shop. "Is this person curing your shopping addiction itch?" LOL!
I love your cart ❤ ik trying new things are scary of course but it helps that you already like to cook for the most part lol With two kiddos myself I know about some of the pleasures lol
You should get refined coconut oil for cooking as it doesn’t have the coconut flavor… the unrefined one makes your food taste a bit like coconut when you use it for cooking.
It’s Good seeing a Video of you This Week and be Careful with Cheap Dryer Sheets they are known to leave a grease spot on your Clothes 😊and Yes I would love to see you Cook , Please Ma’am
@glorybrooks girl, he's 11 lol. He doesn't like unfamiliar foods and certain textures so I usually sneak in veggies (like in pastas) or season it to his specific tastes.
I heard this diet is recommended for those with lupus too! ❤️ It’s beneficial overall which is why I’m very keen on trying it too. Once I get the hang of it I’ll def try to film some recipes!
We are still eating meat:) and I loveeeee sourdough bread so much! One of the big “no’s” in this diet though is no gluten so it would be challenging to find but we haven’t completely given up gluten yet!
I just love these grocery haul videos! Its always so fun to go "shopping" with you, lol. Something I've been wanting to mention to y'all is that I want to highly recommend the carnivore diet to help with Matt's MS. I know you probably get these kinds of comments often and there's a plethora of 'fad' diets out there that get suggested as a cure all for everything people struggle with but this one is something I really believe can help! There have been so many people who have success living in remission of their auto immune diseases or completely reversing their issues altogether, MS included! Autoimmune disease is based upon inflammation in the body and the carnivore diet completely take away inflation especially when followed strictly. Yes thats a turn off, no one wants to be restricted to what they can and shouldn't eat, but it's worth it if you can feel better and live a higher quality life because of it. A little sacrifice can go a long way! You don't have to take my word for it, you can totally do your own research, I recommend people like Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Sean Baker, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Jordan Peterson, and his daughter Mikhaila Peterson. Here are a few videos that I thought would be helpful and informative. From Wheelchair to Walking: ruclips.net/video/rvp6hb2droc/видео.htmlsi=R1PzNEEIVOMq1jHY Multiple Sclerosis:There IS something you can do: ruclips.net/video/bUn8O2v8Fww/видео.htmlsi=HP71NPGX8bxJcoig Dr. Ken Berry Autoimmune Disease ruclips.net/video/CWD-QvnKWqk/видео.htmlsi=kEIl7hnuCu1ra7Vs It has truly made a positive difference in my experience being on it in my energy, sleep, anxiety, and pain, treating hyperthyroidism. Another benefit is that I have no bloating, am feeling satisfied after meals and less hungry throughout the day because the protein and vitamins you get from whole natural foods nourish your body! Give it a try for 1 month, just 1, and I know he will feel a difference. I did, my husband did, and my father in law who has lost over 100lbs, reversed his diabetes, and gotten off BP medication did too. They say that 3 months is recommended to try it out and start really feeling the benefits since it gives your body time to adjust and heal. I love you guys! Thank y'all so much for the content, I've been enjoying watching y'all for years! I really hope you see this comment, God bless! ❤️
Wow thank you SOOOO much! Yes there are so many diets out there it’s hard to know which to follow. But after reading her book and learning more about the “why” with how it helps and hearing so many people’s testimonies on how it’s reversed their MS symptoms makes me a believer! Even I have started to feel better on implementing more of this diet :) I appreciate all the links and references!!!!
@@glorybrooksThat's good, I am glad that it has helped you both and I hope it will continue to do so. Everyone reacts differently to different ways of eating. The benefits of just eating cleaner like you are doing, adding in more fruits and veggies are great! Anyone will be better off cutting out processed foods with harsh chemicals, additives, and seed oils. I truly believe that those are the cause of a lot of health problems we are seeing become more and more prevalent in our society. When I look back to how our ancestors got their food, growing everything from meat, fruits, and vegetables, using butter, tallow, and lard, we did not see as many health issues back then as we do now. That being said, this can be something you can keep on the back burner and possibly give a try in the future if you ever decide to. It's something that I really back based upon personal and family members experiences as well as resources found online and testimonies from thousands that have benefited from this way of eating. Wishing y'all the best and praying for your family and Matt in managing his health and everything work, family, and other personal things that is effected by it. ❤️
I’m currently unable to eat anything but plain meat, eggs and fish due to a sickly gut🥲 so truly my best wishes to trying to cut out so many things at once 🙏🏻
6:20 I'm sensitive to eggs, they give me stomach pain and make me bloated, idk why I still eat them lol Same with dairy products even though im lactose intolerant 😅 Pork is another but I love bacon and carnitas too much!
Fruits is soooo much money now. Maybe yall can have a few berry bushes in your yard to help with the cost. Also remember to cut back on red meat. Turkey meat has been on a rise for healthier diets

Can’t wait to see the meals you make with what you got. Very keen to follow the journey.

You're doing the best you can. Freeze any fresh veggie/fruit that you don't end up getting to. This is a journey and you will find your way.

Eggs chips and bread soft fruits like peaches in the top basket.
Put the avocados in the fridge once it’s ripe and they last a lot longer
The meals looked good. My nephew is slowly coming out of his picky eater stage, maybe I'll try a few with him 😅
Love that! How old is he? Wondering when they start to become less picky…. Lol
@glorybrooks girl, he's 11 lol. He doesn't like unfamiliar foods and certain textures so I usually sneak in veggies (like in pastas) or season it to his specific tastes.
I have lupus btw so i have to eat like Matt so I would be down for recipes 😊
I heard this diet is recommended for those with lupus too! ❤️ It’s beneficial overall which is why I’m very keen on trying it too. Once I get the hang of it I’ll def try to film some recipes!

You are such a wonderful wife
Make sure you massage that kale!! Or you may end up hating it lol it tastes a lot better massage so its not as tough
heyhey girlo, you so skinnnyy - i know its good for your health but transition requires additional time, please take it easy on yourself!
6:20 I'm sensitive to eggs, they give me stomach pain and make me bloated, idk why I still eat them lol Same with dairy products even though im lactose intolerant 😅 Pork is another but I love bacon and carnitas too much!
Beautiful striped shirt, Glory. 😍
Thanks!!

Berries go bad fast….. so…. Eat them up quick 😂 unless if you are freezing them
I add spinach and kale to anything… soups… stews… stir fry’s…. rice… just toss them in… even if it’s a little bit
I've heard about this, but haven't tried the diet yet
Bruh! Matt doesn't like baby carrots?? They are the best!
I took 2 benadryl and still got allergies.
Wow! That’s so cheap!! That will cost $300+ here in Canada!
Matt and Glory
dont get to caught up on the "organic" i know its technically "better" but some brands will just stick organic on anything for $$ 🤮
Costco have water cheaper and you get. 40 of them
Girl its simple : u dont have to change the whole family diet just matt’s
Get him
-keto breads (it works with paleo diet and make sure it doesnt have vegetable oils ) he can have that with eggs for breakfast
- recommended veggies + fruits + nuts for his snacks (as smoothie or just to dip in almond butter )
- red meat , chicken and fish for his main dishes
- for his carbs ( keto breads, potatoes , whole wheat pasta, burgul, freekeh ) not very paleo but very much healthier than not whole wheat
😊👧👋👍🫰❤️
