Hey Maddie thanks for all the info! 🌎 Im considering doing this exact trip this year. I do have one question. Im 23 like you, what was the age range like for people in your classes? Bit worried Im too old 😂😭
honestly only basic! I did about 40 hours total i believe and thats about 1 term, if you do the highest level you can do more classes each day but i did the second highest level as i wanted plenty of time to still travel! i'm actually just about to film an updated spanish language video so if you subscribe or just come back in 1 week you can find out more!
no! One of the other girls there was vegan and she helped me a lot because she had MUCH better spanish than me. but honestly in tamarindo it was super easy, its a fairly touristy town so they have most menu's in english and there were usually one or two vegan options on the menus. I ate a LOT of rice and beans, but i never got sick of it because it was so delicious! and the fried banana / plantain was just *chefs kiss*
When I was there, a few of the students were in their late 20's or 30's! I went when I was 21, and I was probably average age, but I don't think 24 is too old! Not at all :) as long as you don't mind if your classes are with 18-22 yr olds then you will have a great time :)
I'm proud of being Costa Rican. 😍
I suggest everyone travels to Costa Rica. You'll find great people and a lot of nature. 😁
Hi! Was it hard to make friends on the trip ?

Did you party in Costa Rica besides having spanish lessons at the EF school?
yes. there are a few clubs in town, it was honestly the best fun and would go back in a heartbeat.
En Costa Rica no se aprende el español se aprende el costarricense.
perdon?
Pues más o menos.. Con EF vas a aprender el español :)
