Bread is the one thing that is great to buy in the Bahamas! Ask on each island where to get “mama’s” bread and you will be directed where to go. Black Point Settlement has Lorraine’s Cafe and Lorraine’s mamma makes the BEST bread ever!!
Definitely an adventure on all things! Lots of dedication. Proud of your dedication to your dream! Thanks for sharing! So neat to see how it's all done. ❤️
We watched all of your videos last night. We’re also from Tennessee and plan on getting out there ourselves once our kids graduate high school. For now, we hitch a ride with my parents on their Leopard 39 and our good friends who are about to splash in Columbia. We can’t wait to see where the wind takes you guys!
Name the movie! I think hamburger helper does just fine just by itself! What do you think Clark? _Ahhh_ _your_ _the_ _gourmet_ _around_ _here_ _eddie!_ 😂😂😂
Sorry. We don't have it anymore. I just broke down the number of meals we had total (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and made sure we had enough food for every day plus a little buffer. We knew roughly how many days we would be gone for. I would figure up something like 6 Spaghetti meals, 10 burger meals, etc. until I had enough total dinner meals for the number of days we would be gone. Same for breakfast and lunch. Only thing we ran out of was meat and that was due to not catching as much fish as I had originally planned for.
Yep. Spend $900 on food and you think the steaks and chef better be in the bag. But then you start to realize that is for 5 months. How much do you spend on food for a typical month? I bet it is much more than $225. See? It ain’t so bad

Is it impossible to grow tomatoes and/or cucumber (and herbs) in pots on the boat?
What City was that Cole, that you were provisioning?

Maybe it's an American thing but isn't part of the experience the local food?
It's the Bahamas. Every restaurant has cheeseburgers and fried fish. Same thing as American food except 4x the price! :)
