- On the 6th of June, 1985, Prime Minister #rajivgandhi of India embarked on his five-nation tour and arrived at #Orly Airport in #Paris. He was warmly greeted by Prime Minister Laurent Fabius of #france, and later received a cordial welcome from President Francois Mitterrand at the #elyseepalace . A momentous occasion took place at the Eiffel Tower grounds as the Festival of India was inaugurated, aiming to showcase the vibrant cultural mosaic and to celebrate the magnificent heritage of India. The auspicious ceremony was jointly presided over by the President of France and the Prime Minister of India.
