  • In Polynesia, there are two main seasons : the hot and humid season from November to April and the cold and dry season from May to October. Due to the tropical climate, the rains tend to get heavy and torrential. ⛈
Meet Teuira and his father in early November as they are getting ready to fix their roof to cope with the storms. To do so, they rely on the coconut palm tree. While its fruits provide food and drink, its leaves and tree bark are enough to build a waterproof shelter! 🏝
Extract from the series "Sea Legends - Teirua, the man who talks to sharks"
    Direction : Jean-Michel Corillion

We have houses like that in Africa and so cool in hot days and warm in cold days. I love thatched houses. These people have very little but they happy and don't stress about mortgage and loans and debts. What a beautiful life

We Polyneasians do have blue or green eyes as well as brown and hazel, and our hair goes grey/white just like every other culture 🙄
