I was so glad my mom got me out of there and complained about the doctor.
What 5 years old child can comprehend what surgery is and the fact she told her father she was scared😢 and he didn't comforter her, what obey her wishes. The flashback scene of the father bringing her child to the operating table, kicking and screaming was heart-wrenching💔
I had an eye operation around the same age as her and I was in tears. This was EXACTLY how it went. No comfort, they just put the mask over your mouth to shut you up.

If a child is screaming and crying in this way then they are NOT able to consent!! There is no way that legally these doctors should be able to do the surgery. She was screaming "I don't want to" and thrashing around so much they had to hold her down until the sedation kicked in. They violated her in every way they could have and see no problem with it at all.
Unfortunately, sometimes little children act like this when going in for a procedure they themselves need. Surgery is intimidating in the best of circumstances, even for adults. And this particular type of situation absolutely sucks - because how do you know if a child is removing their consent or is just simply scared? For the doctors, there isn't any way to tell because they don't know the child or how the child normally behaves when afraid or in stressful circumstances. Add to all of this that no child, unless emancipated, has legal say over any decisions they make. That is strictly up to the parents or guardian, and in this situation, the parents wanted Anna to have the surgery. According to the law, that is all that matters - that the hospital had the consent of the people who are legally in charge of Anna's care. Is it unfair? In this case, absolutely! But that doesn't mean it's illegal.

The elder sister's prognosis was never good anyway. You let someone with such a bad prognosis die with compassion and dignity not prolong their life so they and others suffer more. I came back to the room to a scene like this and told everyone to get the fuck out. It got real heated real fast.
