- I made a quick vlog of our test at Donington Park last week ahead of the British Superbikes 2020 event there on my BMW S1000RR. We were so busy during the day I forgot to move my go pro so I'm sorry the onboard footage is a bit limited. Nevertheless I hope you enjoy it!

Great stuff! Clearly you were pushing hard - hence the need to take time out to check the quality of the lawn at Melbourne hairpin! Looking forward to the 'behind the scenes footage'. Congrats to Tarran on his win today.
Really quick into Melbourne hairpin though isn't he. Second time round thought he was back onto the grass but he arrived perfect speed at the apex
Thanks Andrew. It's easier to find the limit at places like Donington when there's a bit more run off. He had an awesome day, I'm well pleased for him.
I really enjoy the last sector at Donington, its fun on the last lap!

Glad you liked it, the fork setting change was by pure accident but I was pleased with how that bit turned out!

T-Mac, just watched your interview with Al Fagan on 44Teeth - you were truly awesome on the Super Stock bike last year and made the series really exciting to watch. @@tmac77 At first I thought the camera height was bad but quickly realised that instead of watching your line I could follow your gear shift pattern. So while it's not the usual, it is interesting. Happily I know Dony well enough to follow from the side views.

Wicked view✊🏼 interesting with the shift up from 3rd to 5th coming out of the old hairpin into turn 5, is that to keep the bike settled through the corner??
He'll need to shift into 5th after turn 5 anyway, and when you lay the bike on its side at turn 5 the revs will rise in 4th so it's easier to short shift. At least that's what I found and I'm going considerably slower on my R6 😂

Superbikes spin a lot in 4th just as you tip in to the left kink cause you're flat out so 5th kills it as you lean it over so it's ready when you come out.

I use the go pro 7 and a canon eos r now 👍🏼 more mad mark will be coming 😁

Interesting seeing the adjustments on the forks. Could you do an in-depth video on how track setup and adjustment is done for brakes , suspension, rake and engine mapping. What sort of differences would a set for donnigton be compared to say knockhill.

I’m on the national circuit with no limits at the weekend. Only done a couple of sessions there before. Have no idea where I’m going hahaha. I’m guna qualify last. That’s where all the best rides come from #madmark

I recon madmark would be around 20 seconds Quicker. And as for Championy, he’s so quick he’d be at the finish before he even started.🤪🤪

The footage was fine!. Just the number plate being in the way these days. Fairing designs are newer is the only difference. Does the front fall in too quickly at the old hairpin? It looks like you couldn't just slam it in and go for the throttle. It looks like the front was low, high, then inbetween then you went to stiffer (based on the fork springs looking larger).
I can’t remember exactly where we went with the setting but that’s more or less along the right line yes 😁👍🏼

HI Taylor, when you come to the chicane before the melbourne hairpin do you mainly focus on body positioning or is it more quick steering inputs to get through it quickly? awesome video by the way.
I would love to say I know the answer to that but I don't 😂 I think it's a bit of both

Footage is pretty damn good, along with your speed.
It is yes, well spotted! It comes in handy at places like Donington where the brakes get really hot.

Not possible to get even more out of the bike if you were geared so you could also use 6th? Maybe just more wheel spin?
Theres a long winded answer for it, which is outside of my area of expertise 😂 but in short 2nd to 5th worked best at Donington for us.
