Man, scaffolding with a boat and lead has been my go to method for villager “relocation” over long distances. Course a bucket of water is always good to have on hand when you need to get up steeper cliffs. Go up top and make the waterfall then use the lead and swim on up. Once you figure out the basics then it’s not bad at all. My last move had me relocating a “volunteer” (he jumped in the boat willing) over 300 blocks away across a river and over hills to his new prairie home. Got him tucked in before night time and even watched over him for the cycle just to make sure nothing spawned in on him or anything weird occurred. Went fairly smoothly. Short distances though the mine cart is just fine.
Great tutorial! One edit, you don’t need netherwart for weakness potions, you still gotta go to the nether for blaze rods though. 8:14

Personally, I use mostly rails and zombie villagers, even now after the balance to the discounts. I find it easier to assign them beds and professions that way.
Fly those villagers! Now with the parity change of no damage while falling in a boat, no risk of the villagers dying!
Correction: Difficulty level doesn't affect your ability to cure zombie villagers, it affects the chance that a villager being attacked by a zombie will transform into a zombie villager (as opposed to just dying).

Ive been moving them with boats since I started my world. Mostly because I couldn’t get powered rails for a while. I haven’t tried with mine carts yet, but that’s my next project. I’m going to try my hand at another iron farm.
Awesome techniques. By the way, I found a 3 to 1 ratio for uphill tracks works best.
8:10 Actually, you don't need Neatherwart for weakness potions; however you will still need to go to the neather for blazerods, to make and fuel the brewing stand.
Actually u can use weakness arrow which you can buy from a fletcher, which will let you cure villager without even going to the nether

Bonus tips for those who don't know. You ONLY need blaze rods to weaken zombie villagers.
Step 1: get brown mushroom + sugar cane + spider eye.
Step 2: get blaze rods
Step 3: craft fermented spider eye + brewing stand.
Step 4: use brewing stand with fermented spider eye to make weakness potion. (No netherwart needed).
Step 5: spice it up by taking 3 potions and fill a cauldron and then make a bunch of weakness arrows and shoot them with the arrows. 100% accuracy and 3 potions gives you 64 arrows = 64 cures from 3 potions. ± 20 cures per potion. 🙂

Additional Bonus tip: buy weakness arrows from fletcher. Super easy and completely avoids going to the nether

I normally move them through the nether. But sometimes they get lose and end up in lava 😂
Prowl has lost many a villager to the flying boat tricks. Glad to see they no longer take fall damage while in boats.

I swear by rails. Loading them into stalls one at a time is the easiest way to get the workstations assigned correctly for me.

Sometimes because they have different potions in the cauldron but the igloo has one splash potion in the secret room beneath it

You actually don't need Nether wort to make a Potion of weakness. You still need blaze powder though

Villager curing time changed recently to match java, where it's random each time instead of consistent like it used to be
When did that change? I just remembered it being a flat 2 minutes.
@@Prowl8413 it changed right around the time they adjusted the curing discount. It was over shadowed by that and other proposed villager trading changes
Never tried fly boat normally just breed on location
I use boats and leads on bedrock. On java I use boat minecarts no redstone required with that.
Tip: Get yourself Slow falling it you want to transport villagers by Elytra/Boat method (last method)
Minecarts FTW most of the time. Catching zombie villagers in a boat is also an easy way to catch and cure (build a roof over them). Great video Prowl!
Best method for Java is - making a dirt path yourself thats about 30 blocks over the floor level, which means your eliminating anything that crosses your journey when going normally.
i spent 4hrs last night transporting villagers in minecarts and rails not even getting them home (new world so i didnt have resources to make alot if rails only a little less than 2 stacks so i had to break then replace iver and over) just for me to be able to use boats😭😭😭

@Prowl8413 theres i a new better way to move villigers. Place villagers in a boat, fishing rod the boat and then go as far away before it breaks and it will send bout flying in direction you want.
