Can Repetition Tempo Impact Regional Muscle Growth?
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 фев 2021
- Repetition tempo is probably one of the least though about variables in a muscle-building program. I recently came across research exploring if repetition tempo could impact regional muscle growth. In other words, could different repetition tempos produce different growth on parts of a muscle?

Congratulations on the video. I am Diniz, author of one of the articles that you cited. I really liked your interpretation and presentation of my article.
Thank you for your kind words and your very interesting study! :)
Good study method
So cool that you got funding and approval to study something so interesting!! Has anyone repeated it with male subjects?
Just found your channel from a brad schoenfeld retweet/like. The way you lay out studies with graphics and the easily digestible way you present the knowledge is great. Best channel i've found so far that presents us with science based fitness information. Thank you for your videos
Great to hear, thank you :)
As an athlete tryna build muscles not in a body builder way, this video is very helpful to me.

In summary, do each set at a different speed compared to the others to cover your bases.
just train to failure
Good video! Could you do a video on the foreams, and which exercises activate the most amount of muscles on both the extensors & flexors? 0_0
Thank you, I'll see what I can do!
Sad to see in the video that there was no study comparing differences in the concentric timing.
Especially for total muscle gain and with both sets to failur
My latest video includes some research looking at this :)
Subbed great channel!
Welcome, thank you :)
muscles are like cars or animals: if you training your muscle slowly than that muscle will be slowly in real life(bear, orang-outang,etc), but if you training your muscle fast, that muscle will be fast in real life(cheetah, cat, dog, red fox, etc).
I probably move the weights slower than anyone at the gym. Im asked, how long you've been training? "Since April this year". They don't believe me...especially when i tell them im 145lbs.

Time under tension is best
I have a video on time under tension. In it, I detail how the current evidence indicates longer TUT's do not produce more gains :)
great explanation thank you🥰🤍
