Great video! I love when you let me know stuff I don't know. Most of us did not grow up with this info so thank you

I learned a lot of this when i worked at a landscaping place. I was the nursery manager and we grew lots of plants and had 6 huge greenhouses. I loved it but it didnt pay much and i had to move on

You need to do a whip and tongue and make sure you have cambium to cambium contact. The whip and tongue technique will make sure that even "fumble-fingers" have a high chance of success. Also, make sure that the wrap is water tight. If water gets into the graft point, it will fail. Good call on the splint. But all that fussing with it without using a whip and tongue cut has a high probability of disturbing any cambium to cambium contact that you established before you started wrapping. The probability of this graft failing is unnecessarily increased.
Also, remove any buds below your graft so that there is no competition for nutrients.

Hello Justin! Thank you for all your help! Was clearing out the planters in the greenhouse and came upon some miniature potatoes ...I mean 1 cm to 2 cm round. Are these seed potatoes I can hold on to & plant? Or should we just eat them? Thx!

@@SpiritoftheOutdoors Thx ..no eyes..I tried plant small eyes I cut out at the end of October. They started to grow ..in my greenhouse and I was hoping they would come up again in Spring. Looks like I just had a small harvest. Thank you for your time!

The Rough Rider knives are good knives. If it fails SMKW will replace it for free. All you have to do is send it back.

Dont have to be the same species to graft them. We graft plums to peach trees .. pear to apples and all kind of stuff. Do a little research not good to give people bad info

Those are the same genus and a close related species. Plumbs peaches and nectarines are compatible. Pears and apples are . However its possible the life of them is often short. This is why i dont promote crossbreeding and i have seen it affect the quality of fruit on the whole tree.
