I was thinking of buying that card for work in blender, Im not professional by any means but card i have a msi gtx 1080 can barely do anything. Im not much of a gamer and games that I play are not big name titles or graphic intense one. Im not looking to play games in 2k or 4k 1080p is enough. I think 250eur for new w6400 if fair and to me affordable price. Dont know could u maybe test it in blender or not? Im just looking for affordable card that can last me another 5 years or so.

    I am debating:
    Radeon Pro W6400
    Radeon Pro W6600
    Nvidia RTX A2000 6GB
    All priced within $200-$600 range.
My uses would be pretty similar to yours. Catia, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Inventor, Blender. Do you have any experience with dual GPUs??? Kinda want to slap one of these in my gaming PC for work from home stuff. Would be paired with an i7 13700K. Would this be decent?
    Thanks!

I am also debating on similar card choices, but for me it's between the W6400 and the a2000. I'd love to see a side by side comparison on performance in games like cyberpunk.

    How's the fan noise?

It seems very quiet. My Nactua CPU fan drowns it out.

This card seems to burn power heavily in idle, it's running boost clock all the time i.e. 2331 MHz. That is just terrible! Nvidia T400 is running idle 420MHz, boost 1425MHz boost. T600 idle 735MHz, boost 1335MHz. Haven't been able to find any power consumption numbers but I fear we're talking 50W none stop. T400 is running about 7W in idle.

Hi Brian, I just checked my W6400 running at idle, GPUZ is reading GPU power draw at only 1 - 2 watts.

@@vertanux1 That sound to good to be true. I would trust that more with a full-system power-measurement, with and without the card installed + idle and boost load. But even though, it might be power efficient after all, but not 1-2W!. (another ting I think it's more than double the price of Nivida's equal card T400)
This is my test-rig with system power measurement:
