Nagato (長門, Nagato) was a shinobi of Amegakure and descendant of the Uzumaki clan. Forming Akatsuki alongside his friends (and fellow war orphans) Yahiko and Konan, Nagato dreamed of bringing peace to the violent shinobi world. However, following Yahiko's death, Nagato adopted the alias of Pain (ペイン, Pein) and, along with Konan, began leading a new Akatsuki; one that would force the world into peace using any means necessary
The Six Paths of Pain (ペイン六道, Pein Rikudō) is an Outer Path technique that allows a Rinnegan user to manipulate up to six bodies as though they are their own.

It`s crazy how Nagato was working for Madara and Obito and their ideals were pretty much the inverse!Sadly the older I get the more I realize Nagato was closer to understanding the true nature of reality than Madara and Obito who wanted to basically run away from the pain of the world by creating a perfect illusion!
