    far out you're a fun content creator tom, you dont even let the sand get you down when you fall off, legend :D

    hey tom,
    you mentioned you only film a few min at a time and it's hard for us the viewer to tell how long you have been riding for so i thought why not put a time stamp in the lower left corner everytime the camera turns on so we can see what time your filming at and we can work out how long you have been riding for each time?

    • @luke6645
      @luke6645 6 лет назад +1

      Why?

    • @Simo559
      @Simo559 6 лет назад +4

      Luke Smeets why not?

    • @luke6645

      @@Simo559 because we don't need to know how long he has been riding for

      Luke Smeets thats fine if you dont need to know but some of us do even if you dont.

    I hate sand stack....and that's why you use soft panniers off road....and keep the soft stuff in the panniers....hard panniers would have broken your leg....ask me how I know?.Love your work Tom. The new WR250R will be home tomorrow....woo hoo.

    After a hard days ride in the sand there's nothing like an orgasm with your mates looking at the stars! Good vid Tom, living the dream 🖒

  • @mr.sandman4782
    @mr.sandman4782 6 лет назад +1

    Tom if you put your camera's exposure to super high then you might be able to make a time-laps of the stars. I'm not sure what camera you're using though.

  • @dutchie7302
    @dutchie7302 6 лет назад +3

    Lovin the vids Tom but ..... why is it you never stop to help ??? I understand its Nerb's choice to ride the behemoth (defn - something enormous, especially large and powerful) but he's a mate. Respect your mates. No anger here, just an observation.

    • @MrPentaMan
      @MrPentaMan 6 лет назад

      He explained it in a different video I think

    • @dutchie7302
      @dutchie7302 6 лет назад

      Didn't pick up on that. However, I know if I was riding with you (or any one else for that matter), I would stop, get off my bike and help you with yours. As I would hope you would do the same.

    • @MrPentaMan
      @MrPentaMan 6 лет назад +1

      I would obviously help aswell but If i remember correctly Tom said its about filming and an agreement between Nerb and him. Not sure tho I cant really remember...

    Three months ago I rode my WR250R down the hay river track and along the QAA line into Birdsville it was around 500 km on the bike and on the hay river you had to dart from one of the track to the other to miss hitting the over grown trees. Although the hay river was still ten times better riding then the QAA line.
    By the way we were supported by two cruisers.

    I'm also lazy in sand, stay sitting, but I find that remembering to squeeze the tank with my knees and putting some weight on the pegs helps a ton with stability.

    • @JDubbleu
      @JDubbleu 6 лет назад

      If you sit father back on the seat and keep on the throttle it allows you to go very fast across sand or any loose ground. When you want to turn just stick out a leg, lean, and blast the throttle.

    Better sand than cement. Glad you're OK

    • @aserta
      @aserta 6 лет назад

      Actually...it can pack quite a punch. I rode in Sahara once, tripped my front wheel on an oddly shaped portion of sand during a curve and took a full face Nelson. It hurt like a b*tch aaand i had sand everywhere...
      It's kinda like water, you'd think it doesn't hurt, but it does.
      Also, on cement/tarmac, at the very least you can sort of control your slide, not on either of those two (water or sand) you're in for the ride.

    or motorcycle vs car pro's & cons

    Once chains start to stretch they r rooted. I just did a 10000 k ride half way round Australia and after adjusting the chain 4 days in a row at 500k per day it came off at 90 k/h. Uncool.

    Why are you riding on the right side in the track? Is it an offroad rule not to ride the left as opposed to streets?

    What do you think about the new crf 450L, they promise long service intervals and reliability...

    • @nathanf1934
      @nathanf1934 6 лет назад

      Its an enduro with heavy service intervals.

    • @sseba_mu
      @sseba_mu 6 лет назад

      Nathan F no it's not, the new L version they just put out should be a different story. look it up

    • @nathanf1934
      @nathanf1934 6 лет назад

      Ragnar Straight from Honda "We asked Honda and they said that the CRF450L has an oil change interval of 600 miles and a valve check interval of 1,800 miles."
      Also straight from Honda "It’s Part of the CRF Performance Line. It has nothing to do with the CRF250L or CRF250L Rally."
      Definitely an Enduro bike.

    Oh man, that must've been painful. I like riding i sand, but i have everything about it otherwise, especially crashing.

    • @keeganhottinger92
      @keeganhottinger92 6 лет назад

      sand riding might be tough but falling over isnt as bad, though its usually followed by some wicked turning of the handlebars so the crashes are less controlled in sand...atleast for me
