After about two weeks of hard work and never touching a piano consistently before, I finally have this song down! This is one of my absolute favorites and you literally never get tired of hearing it.

Thanx for being the first person to put a tutorial on RUclips for this song, cuz I really wanna learn it, and I suck at sheet music. Right now I'm working on Journey to Zanarkand, but as soon as I finish I'm gonna use this tut to learn Ahead on Our Way, thanx!
So sad, but also giving strenght.. This is an example of the difficulty of creating something that can arise opposite emotions like sadness and perseverance. If Nobuo was not down in the dumps when he created this wonderful composition, he's not human :)
@beforeTHEmomentGIRL What a kind of question is this? Why should it be wrong? Its just natural and normal that memories are brought up by things, which are connected to them. So just take a trip down memory lane and enjoy! ;)
Man I really need to take some kind of training or something, I can't seem to get my hands to play two different parts and I want to learn how to play this so freaking bad!
SerLoh Ok, practice just a few parts at a time and only move on when yourr so comfortable that youre bored. then learn a bit more, then go back and blend the parts together from the beginning. Also focus your eyes on the toughest hand; which in this song is the bass(left hand). When you get to a trouble spot, youll know; just practice that more. These notes are fairly close togther so you should be able to see boths hands at once. when you cant, quick spot the hand your most comfortable with and jump you hand there 1st, then shift your eyes back to the harder hand. (your muscles will remember.) Remeber: IF YOU CAN PLAY IT SLOWLY, YOU CAN PLAY ANYTHING! never give up! play until its a part of you! hope that helps.

Hardest part for me so far was 0:18 with the left hand, those 4 notes feel odd and leading onto the fifth. Had to learn some finger gymnastics (which probably isn't correct piano work.

this is so old but for me it helps if you learn both parts at the same time, think of them as only one part instead of separate.
