Rented one of these!! Most fun Ive had in a motor vehicle in a long time. We took em on the freeway and hit 80+ mph (it was governed by the rental) but, in an open vehicle, that is exhilarating!
Really want to see this, Aptera and AKO Trike hit scale. All amazing, efficient ultralight vehicles.

I’m a customer as soon as they are available. I bought my first FUV stock when Gali announced he had introduced Mark to Sandy Monro. FUV has since 10Xed! I’m going to have to find the $$ for my personal FUV somehow/somewhere that doesn’t involve selling the stock. I think this company has a great future.

This does look pretty cool. I think I saw doors? We will need those in New England. I would also like to see bad weather results, crash results, battery life if you put in a heater for the cold weather. My wife won't get on my motorcycle but I'm pretty sure she would want to drive this.

What is the expected time-life of the battery?
Some companies answer those questions.
EV batteries last far longer now. Even when they are retired they still work for home solar storage. 8 to 10 years. By then the batteries will be so much better and lighter you will be impatient to replace them for the upgrade and trade-in value.

@@anubis7630 Hey fool, the average price of a new EV in the US in 2022 is $66,000!! You are some kind of mental case. It is 18, not 20K, for a vehicle that never needs gas or oil changes and insurance is $800/yr cheaper every year for this class of vehicle.

Phase 1 110 bolts 8 hours.phase 2 210 bolts 4 hours. You need to drop $20k on a toy

Rentals sound great for those of us who already have a motorcycle endorsement on our driver’s license. Would like to see one passenger model with a small trunk.
Highly doubt there going to rent out a $20k vehicle,
Florida and California already rents out the basic models of the electric motorcycles. It’s called brand awareness and corporate tax write offs.
I have family 200 miles away. This would need to get me there. It doesn't sound like it will if I have to recharge at 100 miles. Can this mileage be increased?
That's what busses are for.
My thing is can a product empower the consumer. I think this does, the side panels make it basically an electric car, it has good range, seems comfortable. If I had the money I might get one given a little more research. If you simplify it to the point that it's easy and convenient for the owner to repair that would be ideal. Simple , easy to repair products, especially vehicles empower the people , not corporations.

This is what electric vehicle should be. Ideal for quick trip to shopping. But high price will prevent it from becoming mainstream.

The saddest thing of all in this "modern" society is that in none of the new vehicle models that are manufactured (especially those that are so practical, small and cheap) the automotive engineers and manufacturers at the time of projecting them; they do not take into account the concept of "universal design" or design for all people (which consists of conceiving and projecting from the origin, environments, processes, goods, products, services, objects, instruments..., in such a way that they can be used by all people, to the greatest extent possible). And I reflect on this because in the design of these small vehicles, the engineers have not thought in the slightest about enabling access and driving for people who use wheelchairs, despite being a considerable number of citizens worldwide, who by our own limitation and our difficulties in accessing public transport, we have a greater need for a vehicle to get around than those who walk without any difficulty.
How about the wind in a typical rainstorm? Not a good emergency vehicle in bad weather. How about a modest snowstorm? He just admitted not a good long distance commuter

I like this concept, but it all comes down to cost of production. The upcoming Tesla compact vehicle will not be that much larger than the Arcimoto in terms of the space that it takes up parking and on the road. But it will be massively more useful with full self driving. So the Arcimoto must be much less costly to produce than the Upcoming Tesla compact, and it can’t be that much more than upcoming electric scooters.

A fancy presentation, company listed on a stock exchange, fully funded and just about to start production. Sounds a lot like the first responder jetpack from the Martin Aircraft Company once based in Christchurch, New Zealand, which ultimately folded after wasting A$80m in investor funding. Good luck with this particular start-up.
Major difference is that, unlike the Martin, this machine works and is very well priced.

Too soon. Only 4 US states are being shipped to now. It will be several years before exports.

I like it, but it's too expensive. It costs more than an economy car, and I don't think it will sell at that price. If you can cut the price in half without compromising quality I would buy it.

@@user-to2rf1rj5v This is a niche vehicle. For most it would have to be an addition to (can't haul the family in this). Great commuter concept for warm areas. To change the US to electric commutes the price point is just too high. I don't believe it's a flop and filling a niche to electric commutes is better than no options at all, this is no HD though.
Cost will come down with assistance from Sandy Munro at leandesign.com/people-at-munro/sandy-munro/. With government rebates, this will make these very affordable. For a food or local delivery service, it makes sense to write this off, and to save on gas. Mark Wahlberg bought a bunch for his Wahlburgers chains.
I work in parking enforcement and I'm not sure that a trike is the best way to get through urban congestion efficiently. You lose the ability to lane split, in fact with the two front wheels you gain nothing over a car. The second issue is finding a park when you reach your destination, generally people have parked illegally because there is a lack of legal parks available, you can not squeeze one of these between two parked vehicles. Where I do see an advantage is in being able to store paperwork and spare clothing more readily. It is quite possible that a helmet may required because the vehicle has handlebars, (the 4 wheel post office vehicles require a helmet for that reason). We are in the process of switching to electric motorcycles.
How is the noise level as compared to a motorcycle?
Quiet. Totally silent at low speeds, I added a bike bell to mine as a courtesy in parking lots. Above 30 as the revs build, the twin motors sound like a jet turbine. That's the best part for me. Exciting!

@@mattnelson1716 Always love it when they say "miles per gallon" equivalent. Like the electricity drops from the sky. With Oregon's intent to rip out dams on the Columbia and close all coal-fired generators, that "mpg" may go southward as electric rates go northward. Still, a pretty nifty commuter.
@@mic982 Bullshit. Burning gas is always, in every case, far dirtier than renewables or even natural gas power plants. Oregon has prime land for solar farms. MPGe is now an industry standard metric for certain kinds of vehicles.

No. Only the most northern states find these impractical. Across the entire sun belt this is a very sustainable vehicle choice. It has heated seats and bar grips.
Love the concept, price point is too high, not a great option for cooler climate regions, and now under investigation for deceptive sales reporting. I don't think Arcimoto is totally at fault for the price point. US regulations need to change to allow for less expensive vehicles.
Interesting vehicle, but would not be a good vehicle in rainy, cold weather with not being completely enclosed.
This vehicle does not fit my needs for all year driving in Northern Illinois. This is more of a play toy to me not being a complete enclosed vehicle.

Love the concept, love the size... not in love with the battery, not at all. It's a deal breaker. I ride an electric bicycle basically every day, so I'm not against EV, but I can pedal my bike when it runs low on juice. I ride my bike around town; I'd buy something like this for further trips. Just not when it's powered by battery.

I've watched a lot of video's on this vehicle and [none] of them talk about the Warranty on the entire vehicle itself - especially the 'Battery and electric Motor life'. Tesla now warrants their battery for life, or 1 Million miles, whichever you want to call it. No one can compete with that.
This is NOT a $40,000 to $140,000 Tesla Rocket. This is a $12,000 F U motorcycle...

Does the cost of producing these Electric Vehicles cost more pollution? What happens to the battery dies out? If you get hit by a car, truck, or any bigger vehicles what are the chances of you surviving the accident? If you are sitting in the back you might need a helmet. Lack of visibility is dangerous but lack of protection is also dangerous. If you get stuck in traffic, with an open cockpit you’ll be breathing all that vehicle exhaust pollution. But I see great utility use for it...

No, no motorcycle training necessary. Also, in a number of states motorcycle license is not required.
