Very good. Doing this is basically already a lot of work. Imagine a process that requires, in addition to knowing the transceiver well, manipulating its automation by building facilities and possibilities. I think there has to be a reward. Even so, congratulations for showing the system in its simple configuration that serves for the study of those interested.
Good afternoon. I read the comment in your video description, I respect your opinion, but I would like to defend myself a little. initially this was a job I did for my own use, after presenting it to some people, there was a large request from interested people wanting to do it for their clients. (Look, technicians who would do this service for their customers and consequently charge for this work.) It was when I created a firmware in a test version that, when inserting a key, goes to the full version. If the technicians were going to do this service for their customers and charge for this service, don't you think it's fair that the developer is rewarded for the nights awake designing this system in order to serve all users of a citizen's band radio? (CB RADIO) The key value is approximately US$5. I'm Brazilian, I charge the amount of R$30.00 Brazilian for the release key. the recorded Arduino I sell just above the market value, as it comes with the software in a complete and exclusive version for those who buy directly from me. Thanks for introducing my system in your video. Hug and peace.
I know your a smart programmer, I just started in the Arduino code about 2 mounts ago. When you sell the Nano and firmware you need to supply the source code, that is the only fault that I see in your project. I would never sell Arduino code firmware to the public, you know it is a HOBBY. Thanks for your comment. 73's
There are many projects that make the code public so that the community can contribute but still give an option for donation for the creators time and effort in management of the project. If you consider the code complete I would encourage you to take what you feel is an amount of money for your time and then publish the code as an open project. Most people that are paying for it today will not be able to do anything with source code anyway. But the community could improve and add features to the original code base that would benefit everyone.
Wander do you still offer the key for US $5? The place here selling the key by itself is charging significantly more. I'd much rather directly fund the developer than a resale shop anyways. From one developer to another :)
This is wonderful. Let's keep the open source movement alive ! Soon a free and fully functional DDS-VFO will be around !

awesome, this gives more life to these old marvels, and it is reversible, the better

Lucio is 100% correct! Developers need to be compensated for their long hours and knowledge.
Well i would like to find something like this thats cost effective for some of my old school 23 channel ssb radios like the cobra 134 and cobra 135
Graças au nosso amigo Wander de minas gerais Brazil
Wander from Minas Gerais Brazil did not create this VFO that I am giving for free.
Good work, what program do you use to transfer the code ? the one I am using shows an error. Arduino
Hello!
Nice Job!!!
What kind of font type you use on Simba display? (like a 7 segment display)
Thanks, HG5AVZ
I don't know, I think it is the default. I just made it larger or smaller with a number code.
