That thing you refer to as "the plunger" is called the pusher mechanism.
A flywheel blaster does not have a plunger

Just to let you know, they aren't resistors. They are inductors and they are for RF suppression. Check the circuit board if you don't believe me. They have the letter L next to them not R (resistor) or C (capacitor).
