IT'S A NEW YEARS MIRACLE Seriously an incredible run; huge congrats! :) Casually almost tied our SOBs xD And yes, it was super fun to figure these things out together, ty
thank you!! sub-14 i believe is possible, but without any new strategies it'd take pretty much perfect execution. i'm a bit tired of this game right now so i'm not going for that yet lol
probably interesting to know is that we've a sub 14 SOB when we include a technique we've called "Dangling Santa" (it saves 2 secs in lvl 6). Main problem with this technique is that it causes some weird behaviours and requires a simple, but long enduring setup (Id estimate 12h-18h waiting time). For me (and I think also for enmy) this does not feel correct to use for a fg-run. A funny clip which showcases this technique / glitch: ruclips.net/video/niIKTRysP_w/видео.html
@@meistermoehrchen oh yeah I know this trick, accidentally found it on lvl 6 like 10 days ago xD wanted to make a forum post about it but then when I tried to do some more runs I couldn't get the trick at all, just stopped working all of sudden. If it's actually based on how long the game is opened, that's really weird xD but iirc I was only playing for like an hour to get this to work, will do some more testing tomorrow for sure also we should probably make like a discord server about this game, would be way better to share strats with each other :)
@@weengell nope, it's not defined by your playing time - it's defined by how long your pc hasn't restarted. We do not have a reasonable explanation for this besides smth like a floating point rounding error offset increase on a system internal number, since there are multiple things which change slightly: 1. ever so slightly smaller jumping distance (probs just slower walking speed which implies smaller jumps) 2. lower mouse sensitivity (which can ofc be solved with just increasing your dpi with an external program - at least I think so, for Enmy it was genuinly glitched I think) 3. Dangling Santa 4. significantly lower framerate, which would also be a reasonable cause for 2 and 3 So I think it's pretty obvious why it's not appealing / annoying to use and therefore shouldn't be a thing for the speedrun imo.
@@meistermoehrchen oh wow that's so weird, yeah it wouldn't be right to allow something like that lol, although if we could get it to work with lowering the framerate to 60 or higher then we might wanna use it in runs

GET HIM AWAY FROM THE FIRE!!! 🧯🧯🧯🧯🧯
Congrats with WR :D you think sub 14 is doable by any chance? the game seems super optimized now xD
