How to do a visual check of a behind-the-ear hearing aid with a battery

Audiologist Ashlea Dosanjh demonstrates how to do a visual check on a hearing aid where the hearing aid sits behind the ear. This type of hearing aid is known as a BTE hearing aid. This type of visual check is something either a parent, or caregiver, or teaching support staff can do when helping a child or student make sure their BTE hearing aid is working correctly.
Dr. Dosanjh works as a member of the CDCI CARES Team, providing support and training for educators working with Vermont students with hearing loss.
