The storey gardens look so nice when you've finally planted; I I realized they waste space instead.
If I were to place each of the circles on its own I'd have more surface to plant on.

I don't think they waste space for we have tried working with flat surface and storeys. And then you have to consider alot of things while choosing between flat surface and storeys. Retention of manure, soil nutrients, weeding, overall labor of maintenance etc. Also they are a solution for those who don't have land or have places where there is no good soil, it's murram, rocky or so.
