When I was a teenager, I wasn't allowed to listen to any music that wasn't Christian. When it came to punk rock, other people had all American rejects, simple plan, blink 182, sum 41, and others. I had hawk Nelson, stellar kart, and FM static
I've made a personal choice to listen predominantly to Christian music. Secular music for the most part doesn't resonate with me; in fact, it often is completely at odds with my worldview.
Hey guys, thank you for being the soundtrack of my teen years. I was allowed to listen to anything but I loved you the most. It’s 2021 and I’m wearing a “hawk Nelson is my friend” shirt
MAN! I miss this!! even though i was 21 at the time lol but still, was a nice transition to clean music. 2004 when i gave my life to Jesus this was one of the first bands i was introduced to, it was my style, them and others. miss this music. Hawk Nelson is not the same.
Man the first time I heard this song it was in 2009 on a IM4U mix CD put out by our church I think. I thought I lost this song until I wanted to go through the CDs in my old 100 CD changer. I found this song and like 80 others I thought I lost. That is why you should go through your stuff, sometimes you find treasures. Now if I could only find that IM4U mix CD, never found it online ANYWHERE!
posting this for future generations. this music video came into my mind randomly. It was on my iPod nano that had a screen. after pointlessly searching the name Hawk Nelson came into my mind. satisfying to find it.
I love this song and Hawk Nelson can play one of those songs like Bring Em Out, California, Zero And Live Life Loud and This is my fucking jam!!!!!!!! 🔥🤘🏾😝🤘🏾🔥
Just in case anyone's confused Jason Dunn is the one singing the song here. Jon Steingard at 1:31 took over in 2012 and announced that he no longer believes in God in 5/27/20.
Just remembered this song after literally a decade, inspired me to make a new playlist called "Christian Pop Punk My Dad Used to Use to Convince Me Christian Music Was Cool"
I love "Drops in the Ocean." I missed his performance at " The Afters" and " Building 429" in Clearwater my hometown, best concert of my life, my 53rd Birthday, heart breaking to learn he went against God, satan wants the ones saving souls. He took hold of my family and I pray oh Jesus forgive us our sins save us from the fires of hell lead All souls to heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen
Been searching and searching for some "good" christian pop music. Never have listened to it, but tired of all the negative messages in today's songs. Like I was listening to Usher's song Lil' Freak, I mean I love good dance music but the lyrics were unreal, "You go get some girls and Bring em to me If you f'-n with me Really f'-n with me You'll let her put her hands in your pants Be my little freak". I'm just sick of the message all this music is sending out. Now this band, this is good!

Same dude
But after hearing worldly music for so long and rediscovering all my old christian music recently I'm feeling extremely nostalgic
I've made a personal choice to listen predominantly to Christian music. Secular music for the most part doesn't resonate with me; in fact, it often is completely at odds with my worldview.
Same hehe but my dad also loves punk rock but when it's sunday all of us aren't allowed to listen music if its not christian rock or hillsong
AND RELIENT K
To be fair, there are a lot of classic Christian rock bands
2023 who’s still listening tho?👀💪🏻 i remember Hawk Nelson was on jctv this song played so much loved it still to this day and many more to come
I haven't heard this song in nearly 5 years and I still know ALL THE WORDS. Like, it's somewhat alarming.
thehappiestcamper same
lets see, do you know all the words after 4 years?
What about now? It has been 6 more years. Still remember it?
Hah best convo years later
Hope you still remember all the words after 7 years
The scenery has always reminded me of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Am I the only one?
also camp lazlo
Yup yup.
SAME!
Hey it didn’t remind me of that until you just mentioned it
An okay show
I miss the old Hawk Nelson
Check out aid and effect. Three of the original members, including Jason, formed a new band. Same punk sound
Ah, the early 2000s, what a time. It felt like every song I listened to was like this.
This is 2008, so it’s the late 2000s.
I still remember playing with the game board included with the CD cover
Good times!
my childhood band
Nostalgia! Loved this song in highschool, and it's still just as good :)
Hey guys, thank you for being the soundtrack of my teen years. I was allowed to listen to anything but I loved you the most. It’s 2021 and I’m wearing a “hawk Nelson is my friend” shirt
I want one of those shirts! Wish they would start selling nostalgic merch but I’m pretty sure the band disappeared
I'm almost 40, and I still rock this out at full volume when I'm in my car... with the windows down! Love Hawk Nelson.
I have a friend like that. His name is Jesus Christ, Son of God.
Amen:)
+Bianca Flores Hi..

"let's scream and shout
If you know what I'm talkin' about"
until i read your comment that made sense...
I forgot how much I missed this song
You know, I'm an atheist and I don't care what this song is about spirituality, it freaking rocks!
One of the great things about music. It can cross barriers and bring people together in ways that words can't.
This was the band before they turned over to gospel, but it's crazy how it can still turn over and be interpreted in any way.
Are you proud of that? If so, why?
Wholesome atheist comment! Right on, brother!
@@LukeR.5117 not believing in fairy tales is an accomplishment in the world today
Hawk Nelson is one of my favorite artist bands. I have not heard this song in a long time.
