- Like the video, took me a lot of time to make it, better experienced in 1080p with headphones with a computer screen like a movie :)
Tbh it took me like 20 hours+ of pure hard work to make this 11min clip, I swear, 2 days of editing and thinking, even not eating some meals
all the panels in this video were black and white and I had to use Ai to colorise them or colour them myself
I also had to scavenge the internet for all sorts of pics relating to the story which was insanely hard, tbh I thought of giving up way too many times
Some images I used ai to create and merge, other to colourize, a lot of these pics were in portrait format so I had to either use ai or add the background and make it a landscape myself, it was hard
Then editing it all out, looking for the music, cutting the music and syncing it all together and put words and fit it in a story mode
honestly, probably the most high effort post I made or was made in this sub, i wanted to give up so many times
But I persevered, only because the story touched me. I loved it so much, better than 99% of xianxia romance
For people who dont like it, know the romance is a build up for the tragedy of Red lotus's life and him turning from immortal to demon venerable
People might think that the relationship between Red lotus and Liu Shu Xian is insignificant to the story but that is not true
If not for Red lotus's love for her and her death, Red lotus would have never gone against fate and thus fate would have stayed intact
There would be no spring autumn cicada either, there would be no red lotus inheritance for fang yuan to get it, there would be no regret gu, and there would be no red lotus to destroy fate
In truth, its red lotus plan to destroy Fate all because of liu shu xian
It is sad that in the end she went against him when he went against Fate
I mean Being a heavenly court member they are all brainwashed into worshipping Fate and the Dao
I think its also red lotus fault for just not being patient enough
But in the end, at that point it was already way too late
Red lotus had already turned into a Monster, a demon venerable
Whats funny about Red lotus is that after all red lotus failed attempts at injuring fate, it is Love gu that allowed him to injure fate thus give the possibility for all beings to fight for Freedom
Red lotus is truly one of the influential person if not the most influential in the entire novel especially with his poem when he got out of the River of time
Gu zhen ren is a genius, writing a love story better than 99% of xianxia in a single chapter

He rebirthed countless time to save her but Fate gu, the gu that is Fate and controls the world would always stop him and because he was born by fate's decree means he is within Fate's shackles, only an otherwordly demon, someone whose soul is from another world is not bound by fate
So each time He rebirthed despite being able to return in time he would never be able to save her from dying in the tribulation,
In the end, he had to use Rank 9 Love gu to save her because love is a part of fate it can move fate

So he just kills her, his love has already died previously when in a previous rebirth she was dying and just didnt care about her but was thinking about the next rebirth, he became a cold monster
I think he understood the meaningless of life and his hatred for Fate gu got stronger until he injured it using Rank 9 Love gu and making an entire inheritance for the Otherwordly demon, the One who will be the One to destroy Fate, this inheritance for the main character Fang yuan
He had rebirthed, I believe thousands of time, doing all that he can to save her but in the process, of living those thousands of life and losing his love every single time, his feelings and emotions got numbed till he tried for the sake of trying and merely filled her wish to die at the end of it all
