    About 20 years ago, I used to work at a place in England that used to mould display cases for the makeup industry. All the big stores all had these mouldings that used to be used to hole the various makeup products on there side., more than likely, financed from their advertising budget on each product somehow.. The part material used to be 70% HIPS and 30% crystal styrene natural mix on an NB150. We used to just mould the parts. The middle men made all of the money who also got the tools made. There were 100's of parts, each part had a 1 cavity tool made of 2 plates for the cavity, and 2 for the ejector pin head captive. They used a bolster plate that accepted 1+1 cavities slede in from the side in seconds, moulding weight between 50g - 75g, cycle time 30's +/-3,s. If you are ever looking for work, I would advise you to investigate into this type of work in your country, as to me it looks right up your street and your other half might like the idea and would like to get involved possibly. Your 2 shot machine could possibly mould 4 as we used to mould some 1+1 parts, exscrewsion, then injection,hold, and cool using around 55 U.S. tons for each part. Next time you go to a big posh store, have a look, with your misses and you'll see what I mean.

      Thanks for the tip! My other friends recommended the same thing to me. I'm thinking of something similar. Maybe small parts storage drawer set

    This is some of the most informative, well explained videos on mold tool making I've seen. Thank you for taking the time and hope to see more content in the future!

    Is that a standard sized mold and cavity, or did you make everything custom-sized?

      @@TC-Loom I purchased the mold base “kit” from aqmold dot com. It is a 12x16 inch. I dont think there are industry standards, but they make them in -2” incriminates on their website

    what is difference between g234 g254.... can you explain making practicle videos>????

    • @DragonflyEngineering
      @DragonflyEngineering  6 месяцев назад

      G 254 is dynamic work offset G255 turns off 254, so the mill does lots of calculations to track your part as it spins around in a 5 axis mill. G234 does similar math to track your tool to follow the dynamic work offset. I am new to this so I may be wrong, I searched Haas website. I do see G245 and G234 in my 5Axis posts. I should do a video on how I shoot my videos, good idea.
