First turned on to your stuff decades ago. Your vocal tone unmistakable and refreshing to hear a man sing , know you been there in your songs. Authentic, listeners can tell! Keep going you still got the talent and pipes, if anything more raw and powerful.

As a long haul trucker, this song describes 90% of my life, the other 10% depends on whether I leave this world in a truck. Eric, thank you for this song.
I grew up with my father driving truck and them yrs later starting his own company which was successfully for many yrs. Trucking was a major part of my life and I drove in the Army and worked as a diesel mechanic for the majority of my life. He passed away in 2011 and I still love trucks and miss them dearly!

Holy shit I just realized you’re active on RUclips. To get this album I was flying to Louisiana from Oregon to visit my dads side of the family as we did regularly, during this time wasn’t just streaming, downloading, whatever, I needed the CD. Whitey Ford Sings The Blues was and still is an all time album for me and my sister. Must have been 1999 we flew there and got my aunt to buy it for us since back then parental advisory and all that bullshit. Anyway got the album and to this day it stands up man. Thank you for that I weirdly think it made a huge impact on the younger me. As a 32 year old in software sales what a fucking juxtaposition lol but I still have that album on my Apple Watch when I’m running. I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you?

I feel crazy having grown up in the 80's and being here in the 2020's and young people not understanding what others parents fought for! I guess every generation has had that. From the War Of the Three Kingdoms (English Civil war) to the American War Of Independence, to the American Civil War.... Etc, etc, etc..... We are all just still fighting. We live in a day and age where we are capable of so much more yet continue to use the ways of old to keep the same status quo.
