I’m married to a funeral director and mine has the most genuine heart! It’s definitely something to get used to and it is a must to have many black dresses. It’s a lifestyle for sure.

The few times Freddie mentions his job, it definitely rings true. In that line of work, you are helping people at their most vulnerable and you have one shot to serve them well for eternity. Having watched LiB (every season, every country) since the start, your comments at 37 minutes absolutely nail it. If there isn't a physical connection (even with a strong emotional connection), problems will ensue! I met my future wife randomly on one day in 1993. After that day, we went our separate ways and corresponded by mail for over 6 months. So, we had seen each other one time, but then spent a lot of time getting to know each other sight unseen. Still, as much as the premise of LiB is appealing, we often talk about the micro-expressions shown by cast members as their relationships progress. In the end, sure, love can be blind, but physical cues still matter a lot.
As a Brit it was really nice to see love is blind UK and noticing the cultural differences (between US and UK) seeping through. They were subtle but just the way Brit’s conduct themselves is quite different from Americans, which was interesting to see.
I’m surprised so many of these pop culture podcasts have been talking about It Ends With Us without even mentioning that it’s about domestic violence. I heard about the film coming out and the drama surrounding it for weeks and had no idea that was what it was about.

I pack for trips a month in advance, I get layouts of the airports, I also get layouts of the planes to pick the best seats, using SeatGuru app, I find out where the nearest hospitals and embassies are and create packing spreadsheets and itineraries, and too many other things to list. I always check the menu and location before I go to a restaurant and I rarely like surprises and last minute plans, they stress me out! I love how you owned that aspect of your personality. I’m teased and made fun of, but I literally cannot be any other way. My mom said I was pretty much born this way. Thank you for representing. Also Jasmine just might end up being the villain.
Totally agree that love isn’t truly blind, but I think when we have natural real chemistry with someone, we’ll also find them attractive or be attracted to them, and the two will come in hand . It’s like, I can see people and think “oh they are handsome “, but feel absolutely nothing, and then other people I have genuine chemistry with may not be perfect or stereotypically universally “perfect” , but they drive me mad because I just have chemistry with them. Usually the people I’m genuinely attracted to, I also have a deeper soul connection to and things in common with. Especially as I age, which is why being attracted to someone is less frequent for me. When I was younger any cute thing that walked my way was crush potential but that’s changed drastically as I’ve come to know my deeper self
