Well, this is one of those times where I don't even know where to begin. Seek And Destroy? Fingerstyle? I think I've long since officially run out of more conventional-ish songs to cover. And what happens when you reach that point? I guess you might just stop altogether, or start doing things which seem completely insane, like this. But what can I say? Metallica is literally the reason I play guitar in the first place. I never imagined I'd wind up here, though. Covering one of their oldest and most METAL songs... On an acoustic. Honestly, I didn't even seriously consider this would be possible a few days ago. But after much deliberation, I figured "Eh, it'll be funny if it doesn't work out, at least". And I do think this is pretty funny. I might as well do a fingerstyle cover of The Thing That Should Not Be next, or Raining Blood.
Also, you'll notice there's a lot of parts missing. I did do this on purpose, since I didn't want a fingerstyle cover of this to accidentally start sounding repetitive since there's no lyrics. You'll also notice a lot of parts have changed. Particularly the solos. This is because I couldn't find any other way to play some of them. Hell, I can hardly play some of the faster, crazier parts on an electric. Can you? You're either a true metalhead, or Kirk Hammett. Or should I say Dave Mustaine?
Shoutout to Mark Erjavec for recommending this one a few weeks ago and getting it in my head.
Everybody take it easy. It's what Metallica would want. Or maybe they'd want the opposite?
Absolutely amazing. This is the best fingerstyle arrangement of a Metallica song I've heard.
Thank you for the very tall compliment, cheers \m/
DUDE!!!! This is AMAZING!!!! I was seriously over here headbanging along through it. Just awesome!
Thank you! Here's to many a more headbang \m/

Hell yeah, great as always \,,/ Song request/suggestion Fool's Garden - Lemon Tree :)
Thank you \m/ I'd never heard that song before, but it does sound like it'd translate to fingerstyle well...
♨️🥇🎸✴️🆗🇷🇺
Please, keep going! Brilliant job. I will wait for your cover of Metallica's "One" and Black Sabbath's "Iron man".
oh by the way …. i enjoy the light effects .. blue-ish Right Hand side… yellow-ish .. left side… i guess you put a lot of work into your vids.. :) Keep it up… if one loves what one does .. it will be GREAT amongst others :)
I love this song but man I didnt even know it was possible to create an arrangement such as this. definitely has to be the best metallica fingerstyle cover out there, hands down
Cheers man! That's awesome to hear, especially since this song was such an experimental one to try. Almost didn't consider giving it a shot
