ikita and BSG always wanted to make a single player game ala stalker but set in a normal world, without mutants and stuff.if you go way way back, he even says tarkov was only supposed to be a proof of concept that they could make a game and to make money.

Honestly why I switched to SPTarkov…. No need to worry about cheaters, mod it how you want to, mess around with tons of funny mods (like any ammo in any gun) , and you can play as casually as you want.
Bit of a dumb question , can you point me (and others) in the right direction for this.

Yep, my thoughts too as a fellow Aussie. That's something mental, like ~40% of a weekly wage on *ahem* DLC for a game. Hard pass. SPT is free with an awesome community of modders. You still need a genuine version of Tarkov so no loss to BSG, and SPT is highly versatile and you can load it with mods!

Crazy that they didnt say, "Unheard gets immediate access" and EOD gets at a future date.
With Unheard giving ETS access they could use that as "this co-op will be a test run with this upgrade/edition."

Honestly, I haven't played EFT in a few years, I'm just not good enough, which is fine, I had my EOD, played a lot for around a year and felt I received a good return on my money. Was happy to support them as I felt they were really doing something different for video games. I still watch some streams. When I heard about the "Offline" mode, considered checking that out thinking, "Hey, I have EOD, I get everything." Wow, just wow.
Honestly, I don't see how they recover from this.

Hi, Onepeg. Thank you for the coverage. I live in a country where Aesopian language is a common practice. *I think all this crap makes sence only in one case.* Being a devil's advocate to some extent:
1. "It is not a mistake, but time to prepare for the release" probably means "we have to release the game but we do not have the budget to finish the game and the full release is under question".
2. "It's time to understand who are the true belivers" means "many on our own team (e.g. financial people) have doubts that the release is possible but I belive that it is and need support of similar belivers".
3. "We are not forcing anyone" means "Please help us if you can".
4. All the "no" answers mean "We ran out of options. The Arena was our last hope. Microtransactions proved they are not appealing enough to our grown-up audience, and there is no time to experiment with new ones. We had to chose the proven way of monetisation with a premium package. We have no publisher to help. The choice was between shameful failure and total shameful failure with end of career. We said several times that we do not want to make PvE COOP as it is not feasible to run servers but had to as it is our last hope".
5. "We can not tell you the truth because banks will not give us loans after this and creditors will come to finish us the next day."
I witnessed a story of a Russian sim company Maddox Games which after huge initial international success failed in about 8 years releasing unfinished game as they paid too much attention to details and ran out of budget. The company was shut down, game engine abandoned, their publisher bought another studio with their own sim engine to continue the series. Community made a deal with the publisher to finish the Maddox Games product and released a finished patch in a couple of years.
We can face the same story as this is not an AAA studio, there is no publisher to back it up and the Arena failed. Ambitious attention to detail that we all like may kill the product as it is prohibitively expensive in development as Maddox Games proved.
Maybe BSG is even looking for a publisher now to save it and has to show some traction no matter what. I do not believe they got as desperate because of pure greed. Probably their careers and reputations are at stake. Too many people in 2016 said they will fail.

Gun skins
If they introduced gun skins via an ingame item shop like most games have theyd never struggle. They can ever make settings for them so that the player can:
1. disable them (for immersion players)
2. Only view your equipped skins (so you dont see other players skins but still see the skins your using)
3. select who can see your skins (so that either everyone can view your equipped skins or only you can see them and keep any camouflage you have)
Its so simple but theyll never do it.

BSg sent in Wagner Group to edit the web page. Would it be possible to make the pve server local on one player’s computer, freeing up online servers, and including pve in all versions, could there be a rush of sales for new players coming to eft now that it wouldn’t be a full time job to progress?
I don’t believe most computers would be able to have the ability to host an instance of Tarkov. The computing power needed would exceed all but a few individuals.

I bought an EOD account about one week before it was no longer available. I bought the game with the understanding that this EXACT feature would be part of it. I bought this game to play with some buddies. I haven't even finished building my first real pc to play it on. Absolutely tragic

Custom armbands... being able to select you scav outfit from the selection of scav outfits. Not even knew scav outfits just "I always have this one scav outfit so when I run with my buddies we all know who each scav dude is" that shit is already in game! Charge for that! Custom messages on dog tags. glove colors (since you can actually see your gloves when you reload and shit). More in game voice options. Purchase the ability to curse in several languages as an emote. The "non pay to win" options for a game like this are literally, literally, endless
