James, Thank you for sharing your gift. Your videos are literally priceless - we had nothing like youtube growing up - the only way we could have received this level of experience would have been to work with you as an apprentice.
Thank you, Mr. Martin: For your attention to detail, skilled craftsmanship, and for sharing these fantastic videos with us. You are invaluable & appreciated.
You do an excellent job on everything that I’ve seen you do. Your work ethic is second to none, and you do a fantastic job on identifying problems as well as fixing them. Thank you for the content. It is very much appreciated!
What a great clock repair to end the year. Beautiful clock, but it’s sad that it was handled by someone without the knowledge and skill you have. I look forward to more of your videos next year.
Thanks Ron, We certainly see a lot of movements out there that people deliberately scratched and scribed marks on the movements. These scratches, spell inexperience on their part, they are reminder notes to themselves to guide them when reassembling the parts. They are banking on the concept, that most customers never see the inside of their clock movements.....
Beautiful clock. I’m amazed (after watching a number of your videos) how roughly so many of the movements have been treated. Doesn’t give the average punter much faith in your local clockmaker (if you are fortunate enough to have one…). Great video once again.
Thank You, This was certainly an interesting project, looks like someone attempted to install a new balance staff but failed to it successfully. Probably due to inexperience, luckily they didn't do any serious damage other than leaving tool marks and those scribed Xs.
These are interesting clocks. Someone made an attempt to install a new balance staff. But messed up several steps and ended up with a non-functioning clock. Its keeping great time now....
@@jamesmartin5370 Yes Sir. I am learning so many things from your channel, that how to handle different kinds of movement. Thank You for your efforts in making videos with detailed explanation at each and every step. ❤ No words to explain about your knowledge and service in the field of Horology. 😊🙏😊
Interesting clock. Definitely no shortage of butchers out there - can't believe somebody would return a movement with metal shavings still clinging to it. Shake my head.
Thanks for the video! Nice work as usual on a beautiful clock with an interesting design. I would like to see how you re-pivot staffs sometime. I think that making or re-pivoting is the way to go since the parts are no longer available.

Many Thanks,
A lot of my time lately is spent undoing what has been done to movements to get them to function again.
Hope you have a Nice New Year.
