We learnt all of our traditions including dances, songs, etc since the very early age so when we grew up we really knew who we are. Learning the traditions of other tribes are like extra knowledges for us.

the opening dance we called Ratoe Jaroh from Aceh - Indonesia, all the dancer with total 1,600 for that dance only & they are Indonesia high school students from some high school in Jakarta

I'm indonesian living in aboard, and i can tell you that indonesia was huge populated country and put their tagline in this asian games "energy of asia", so based on that concept the producer of this opening ceremony (Mr. Wishnutama) want to put together that indonesia have, and there is a lot of tribes, a lot of traditional songs and dance as well, and also the stage was picturized the whole lanscape including volcano, waterfall and even a whole forest made of real trees and in the end was the metrolopitan cities.
The first dancing was amaze me also since i was from different tribe. and the backing sound of this ceremony made everything so energetic and emotional yet so pleasing to watch even until this time I cant move on from his (Mr. Wishnutama) great work in this ceremony.
