    It came in Saturday! I love it!!! I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and as my elderly mom's care giver I need to spend my energy wisely.
    Our children are grown, but with adults 4 adults, 4 long haired cats, 1 large long haired dog, in a sandy, dusty climate this will prove to be very valuable!
    I do vacuum/sweep first because I just can't do that to this beautiful machine, but it still finds and picks up so much that is missed.
    Thank you so much for recommending this product! ❤

    I have this machine, and I think you are right it is a great one. I am amazed that most of these machines do NOT allow a DRY VAC option. This one has a suction only mode but when you turn the machine on initially before choosing a mode, it automatically puts down water. So, if I want to just pick up some crumbs dropped on the floor it adds water, then I feel like I have to reclean the entire machine. It also does NOT clean rugs, strictly a hard floor cleaner. So, I have to dry vac my throw rugs and pick them up before using this machine. What I have also noticed about it is, because of the self-propel or assist, I find myself fighting with it when I pull back on it. Also, it only has a 1 yr. warranty. Still dreaming of the perfect one.....lol

      Does the Bissell crosswave omniforce have a dry vac option? I think it does and it also works on rugs. But it does not have a self drying function. If you can live with that, then that’s an option worth considering.

    • @CombatMist
      @CombatMist 18 дней назад

      I have the lowly bissell corded crosswave pet pro. It is advertised as hard floor or carpet mode.
      Only thing rug mode does is dispense 2x fluid. Nothing magic. Many vacuum mops that adverise rugs (never carpet) don't have any real adjustments for rug. Not like height or depth but can control other things as fluid rate, suction and brush rpm. I'd think most can be used on rugs just fine. Especially those with vacuum only mode to help pick up the fluid and get it less wet on finishing passes.
      My bissell has 2 modes and fluid trigger. Hard floor, rug and trigger. Not using trigger is vacuum only. Rug dispenses 2x fluid. Hard floor is default. So it really has 3 modes. Can use rug and trigger for more effective on Hard floor but that's it. But glad it at least had 3 modes that aren't auto

  • @adale1128
    @adale1128 Месяц назад

    This was a very informative video - thank you! We were trying to decide between this one and the Roborock Flexi Pro (the suction-only mode isn’t as important to us, but we do like the turbo max feature of the S20).
    We’ve tried the Tineco S7 steam vacuum mop and are returning it because it embedded ketchup stain on one of our floor mats (past the point where the original ketchup splotch was) so we realized the mop head wasn’t really being squeegeed that well while mopping, so that’s a very important aspect for us in our next purchase.
    I know the S20 has a great hair tangle comb from your pink hair test (brilliant!), but it looks like it still had a lot of ketchup in the dirty water that was trapped in the brush after the self-clean cycle after your ketchup test, so maybe the squeegee/continuous cleaning of the roller while mopping is also not great on the S20? I’m not sure what the best test for that is.
    We watched your Flexi Pro detailed review (also good), but didn’t see the same pink hair test or the dirty water after the self-clean cycle of the roller after your ketchup clean-up so that we could compare how well the continuous squeegee cleaning between the S20 and the Flexi Pro is. What’s your opinion on this issue?
    We’re impressed by the 60m runtime but that’s probably on the quiet/lowest power setting, so we’re also curious about the average runtime on auto and even max mode?
    Also what is the vertical clearance of the vacuum when it’s laying down so I know which furniture it can fit under? It’s not mentioned anywhere we’ve seen.
    Also, we’re trying to use your link and code on Amazon but the code isn’t working. Would love to use your link so you can get the benefit if possible (but with a discount, of course)! Thank you for any insight!

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  28 дней назад

      Thanks for the comment! I think the squeegee does a good job on the Narwal, the ketchup test was really a stress test with a whole lot of ketchup, not something one would usually come across in normal situations. I haven't done a head-to-head comparison between how that performs v/s the Flexi Pro, but generally I've found the Narwal to be superior in almost every aspect. Regarding the code, unfortunately it seems Narwal has ended that promotion. But if you do decide to purchase anyway, I do appreciate using my link! Cheers

    Do you recommend using distilled water to prevent scale in the tubes etc? Or will it damage the machine? my regular filtered water is not perfect

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  20 дней назад

      Never had any scale build up with any of the wet/dry vacs with regular tap water. Do you have especially hard water? Another point, not specific to the S20 but if you get a wet/dry vac that does electrolysis of water, and if we're to assume there are cleaning/disinfecting benefits to that, then distilled water would probably negate all these benefits as the electrolysis needs those minerals in tap water to create the compounds for cleaning/disinfecting.

    • @MrEladCL
      @MrEladCL 20 дней назад

      @RawansReviews Got it, makes sense I guess. Speaking of, how do we know electrolysis actually work here? Any plan on testing it?

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  20 дней назад

      @@MrEladCL I've actually touched upon that point in the various reviews of wet/dry vacs that I made; hard for me to test it actually works, that would require some lab equipment which I don't have access to. And (in my opinion), the feature is not important enough to warrant finding ways to test the claims. Having said that, I do have my doubts on the efficacy of electrolyzed water in such consumer applications--or the extent of the benefits to make a substantial difference. So personally I remain somewhat skeptical. But I may be wrong, I'm not a chemist or an expert in that field!

      Haven't had a chance to test that one out, but seems it's more budget-oriented than the Narwal S20. But yes there's an uncanny resemblance between the two!

    I feel like this was less critical in tone vs your review of the dreame h14 pro. Many features you mentioned as “wow” here the dreame has but there you just mentioned it in the passing. One thing the dreame has is the rotating filter protector that this lacks. Believe me I have concerns about the longevity of dreame products (bad experience) but I can’t help but feel this came across more as a promotion than the critical tone you usually take

      Very fair--but as I said in the intro, I was raving about this because I genuinely was very happy to have tried it, after my less-than-impressed experiences with others, including the Dreame--which frustrated me with some of their poor design choices. The Narwal, on the hand, felt like a breath of fresh air as they really fixed all that I thought was poorly designed with the Dreame.

    Thank you for your reviews Rawan, you are doing a great job and I am now a Subscriber :) Anyway, I saw you answering other people's comment regarding it not being available in Europe. Could be a while before they adress the problem and enter the EU market. What would you suggest in its stead, if someone was to buy a similar product now? I'm thinking the Dreame H14 Pro but would love your take on this.

      Hi there. Thanks for your comment. Probably the H14 Pro. It is more expensive, and there are some questionable design decisions they've implemented (check out my full review of the H14 Pro if you haven't!). But in the absence of the Narwal, I guess the closest in terms of completeness of features that I've tested so far would indeed be the H14 Pro. I'm working on a comparison video of over a dozen wet/dry vacs where I'll elaborate more on my take there, stay tuned!

      @RawansReviews  2 месяца назад

      Yes unfortunately after reading the comments, I tested it out and indeed it does dispense a little bit of water during suction mode. Not sure why--but the brush roll does get slightly wet even in that mode.

      @ appreciate you personally checking and sorry for the questions, it’s just that it’s a big investment. Last question- if a suction only mode still dispenses water, is a workaround not having any water in the clean water tank and then using the suction only mode? Will it then be a truly dry vac or will the machine not operate at all when there is no water in the clean water tank? Thank you! Appreciate it

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  2 месяца назад

      @dushyantravi6549 no worries! Unfortunately it’ll throw an error and stop working without the tank or if the tank is empty. Curious, in what cases would you use only suction mode without wanting any water? Cleaning carpets for ex? Or had something else in mind?

    • @dushyantravi6549
      @dushyantravi6549 2 месяца назад +1

      @ thank you! My use case for a dry vac mode is using it to vacuum hard wood floors and carpets in case there is just dry dirt. Understood that there will be better dedicated vacuums separately for wood flooring and carpets but I am not looking for a deep clean but just for daily maintenance so thought it would be nice to have one machine that can vacuum and mop, a true 2 in 1 machine. Again something for daily maintenance and not a deep clean. Vacuuming up eggs and pasta is not something I (or most people I would think) do every day, but vacuuming up dry dirt is a far more common use case.

    • @dipzno1
      @dipzno1 6 дней назад

      @@RawansReviewserm like you mentioned in the dreame h14 review that a suction only mode is useful for picking up water spillage without needing to clean the floor.
