🤣🤣 I remember that video. He got himself damn good twice with it if I remember correctly. I had a cold steel back 20 years ago that cut through a tendon on my hand 75% of the way. Needless to say my brother was given that knife shortly after 😂😂

I was very lucky to receive a 2.0 version of the Rike Lamella!! It's amazing! I think the new feature isa button that switches to remove the sleeve. Very easy to remove now.
What in the hootenanny is going here in 2023?!!?!! The EDC knife world has been turned upside down with all of these awesome knives coming about this year. Shoot...back in my pals day they got their skirts blown up by the liner lock or a flipper of any sort lol. Love and happy to live it! Hope to see more of it!!!!!!

The knife with the magnets. How do they hold the knife if for example it is dropped on a hard surface. Will it split open?

no i did drop it a bit, you can watch in my full video where i go through more details, i posted the full video a couple days ago. i have also thrown it into wood with no problem, however if you miss they may pop off

I know the feeling! It’s an excellent item to be into but ohh holy it can cause mental backflips while trying to pick your next baby! There’s just so many beautiful creations out there 👍🫵
@@SkunkPunch73 this is one of the knives where the design just speaks to me. If anything keeps me from buying one, it will be the price of the swappable scales. $180 is a little steep imo
@@Im_Vigilant ahh I know exactly what you’re saying now, I find that it’s a shame that this is a cause for a lot of people missing out on a grail or really desirable piece, it’s all the extra add on excesses that can be purchased for certain models, granted if it’s going from a para2-3 upgrade to rips or whoever’s made titanium scales is a nice step but still close to the same price of the original knife on its own. The worst I seen was a Benchmade bug out £113 and for a set of nice not over the top ti scales ( get ready,!!,,,,,,,,,,,!) .£149.99 Now I know I’m touched by the knife insanity fairy and it magically powers but that was just insane. Thanks for your kind comment it makes a change on here lol. You have a cracking day and just let that WE piece rumble around your head or till you can get it in hand that sometimes is the clincher🫵😘👍
One of the new "unique" knives I'm excited about is from Civivi. They've just opened pre-orders on their version of the Typhoeus from WE Knife. That's the one that converts from a fixed blade knife to a dagger. The WE Knife version retails for around $350, but they're releasing these starting at $75 in 14C28N, plus I'm pretty sure that if you're in their rewards program, they're giving an additional $7 off a pre-order. Pretty awesome!
If you haven't already, you should check out the Forever Steel Alkaid. Same concept, but in a folder. Pretty expensive (500+), but so fun to fidget with. I've got the the silver and blue version, which I love. They have a all black one available now that I'm very tempted to pick up.

The Rike is really cool but I just can't get into persian style blades. Defcon....lol they need a new marketing director to change that name. Great innovation on all these knives though. The flipper on that WE is genius level.
I agree about Defcon. I really like mine except for the billboard branding on both sides of the blade and laser engraved fake damascus pattern. My guess is someone on their team really wanted to show off that they have a laser. Great lock and action tho, love the innovation. It's been seeing a lot of pocket time.

F22 Kickstop is outstanding. If they made an XL version , I'd be all over it. As fot that WE... the hadle is good, the overall blade shape would be tolerable - but that front-facing edge of the dual grind is just silly, butt-ugly, and weird. Whatever benefit the feature has is offset by how wrong this looks. In summation: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
I really wish you would do a better job of mentioning the knives you feature by name. You literally never said the word Jared or Oster when talking about that knife and only said the words Kickstop and Reate, so I had no idea what to look for without checking the notes. You also couldn’t be bothered to say the model name of the Defcon knife. I watch RUclips on my tv, so if I want to look at your notes I have to pull out my phone/tablet/laptop and search for your video and then click on the description. Just adds a lot of work to try to get more info about the knives you feature. Would be really great if you would say the complete name of the knife in the video and maybe mention the current price.

I still think the We Solid looks like a robot turd, but the machining that went into it is impressive. I've heard machining titanium isn't easy. Also, apparently the shavings are flammable.
