- Hi Friends! Today I'm going to show you the before and after of this giant coffee table makeover! I found this table on Offerup and decided to refinish it for the living room in my mom's basement! I was so excited to surprise my mom with the makeover!

Hi!! It’s a product called TSP - it’s a great heavy duty cleaner to prep almost any surface for paint!! It comes in a liquid form or powder form and you just mix it up in some water! I’ve usually found it in the cleaning supplies section at Home Depot! 👍🏻Thanks so much for watching!! ❤️
Helen here in Scotland 🏴 it’s also found in the local pharmacy or chemist/drug stores & the supermarkets etc as it is also used as a cleaning solution for wounds & bites/stings etc. A bit like Dettol (antiseptic) you can also pour a capful into the bath to help with poison ivy or prickly heat rash & chicken pox or anything really. It’s a medical grade cleaner. I used it on cotton wool pads to clean my ears after piercing many years ago, it’s been around for a very long time. Definitely has a medicated scent to it rather than anything floral or fruity like you find with other normal cleaning products.
It’s a different kind. Mainly for furniture. Not medical

The stain is a perfect color for the floor. Great job. When I was 16 I painted my bedroom including the ceiling. I had never seen anyone wear a shower cap but it made such sense to me to cover my long hair. That was in 1968. Always wondered why no one else wore one since it made clean up so easy. Happy to see you wearing one too! Coffee table looks great!

I think this turned out amazing!! I LOVE upcycling things and this is gorgeous!! I know Shelly has to be SO appreciative. Their new home is coming together beautifully - and that is a HUGE house. It's wonderful that you are reducing waste and doing so much thrift shopping (I can't remember the name of the little store ya'll love but it looked adorable... the lamp obsession is REAL, but that's ok!!) LOVING all your work - this is a form of art and it is super inspiring to see all your hard work come out so beautifully.
