  • This is Brandon's bulging disc surgery story. Brandon is an uncommon guest of the Bonati Spine Institute as he is under 30 years old.
Brandon's bulging disc surgery story begins with him trying many conservative treatments and deciding it was time for bulging disc surgery.
A bulging disc is a condition in which the inner portion of the intervertebral disc protrudes from the disc's outer wall. Intervertebral discs are the shock-absorbing structures between each vertebra. The discs have a thick outer layer surrounding a soft, gel-like center. A bulging disc may be a precursor to a herniated disc or one which has partially or entirely broken through the outer wall of the intervertebral disc.
When non-surgical treatment proves ineffective, or symptoms associated with a bulging disc are moderate to severe, bulging disc surgery may be recommended. Spine surgery performed through a small incision can fix the problems caused by bulging discs without the risks associated with open spine surgery.

Almost three months out. Doing well. If I had a desk job I would be 100%. With construction, there is plenty of lifting. I am not quite back to lifting anything I like. My pain is still gone. Very thankful!

Glad you’re doing better .Instead of a fusion would you mind sharing what they did? Obviously fusions sound super invasive .

@@victorvalencia7007 The Bonati Spine Procedures are precise, targeted, truly minimally-invasive spine procedures performed sequentially to pinpoint and eliminate the causes of neck or back pain. They are performed on an outpatient basis, under twilight sedation to ensure that the problem has been eliminated before the patient leaves the surgery room.
