It still brings the old times...
High9231 I can relate to that, growing up in a small town, few metalheads to share in your sentiments. But those who do are in it just as deep. CS and other doomy bands at the time formed my soundtrack to the yearning that all 16/17 year olds feel. That feeling that translates as "everyone is getting laid but me" :D I was lucky enough to see CS around the time of Solar Lovers with two other excellent Dutch bands, Beyond Belief and Lords of the Stone. A night I will never forget.

Nice version, but... to me, the original version's sound is deeper thicker and wider. The whole production of Solar Lovers i'ts great.. Just takes me to a other dimension.. This version... seems lacking much of those things, it's my simple opinion...

Kevin Kelly I believe they tried to make it "radio friendly" and it ruined a classic that should never have been touched. I stumbled on this by accident and really felt "doom" but not in the musically proficient sense. :( Smh.
Man. This just doesn't have the passion and movement the '95 version had. I wasn't aware of this one til just coming on it, but disappointing. Scent Of Eve was also a mind blowing "Solar Lovers" track. I miss the old days when music wasn't so "factory sealed" and had the artist's "soul seal"....

I come from the future, the band is still around and kicking, and released 3 top notch death\doom albums already. Kings stay kings.

this is a re-re-recording, I have 1996 re-recorded version on an old cassette tape along with Solar Child 96 version that i got off Jason.
I had no idea CS was back and re-recorded this song. Solar Lovers is a great CD! I would love to hear your death/doom style more in the future.
