With 5 star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson decommiting from USC, taking a look at a few replacements at the edge rusher spot. Taking a look at Lincoln Riley and Coach Henderson's approach on the recruiting trial.

Terry said coming from a small town he wanted to expand his life and USC was a place to do that, also the family likes Coach Henderson.
Terry/Gibson both decommitted from USC as of 11:30 am, June 19th, '24, per @on3.
We just need to average 35+ & have a top 40 or better defense that plays with Pete Carroll type physicality.
This will give us a shot at a 9+ win record & a possible playoff shot. Should we do this, USC is on it's way.

Terry is a very very high character kid. If he decommits I’m sure it’s because he wants to stay close to home and doesn’t feel comfortable in the big city. Otherwise it’s a great fit for him.
Henderson having issues right about now??? Riley revisiting the recruiting land slide like last year. Between the Lakers and USC I'm ready to cheer for a better product. Stewart is just there for the bells and whistles/vacation.
We're good, I'm confident in our staff and Rome wasn't built in a day. Our edge is not a must have but interior DL is a can't miss. Good luck to Gibson but a degree from USC is on another level, football don't last forever.

@@johndor7890 Wrong about what huckleberry? USC having the most billionaires at the undergrad level, a premier academic institution or connections to global opportunities? Or about football? Still trying to relive your best years and how you threw 6 touchdowns in one game? The only other university that comes close is Michigan. Outside of football and in the game of life there aren't many peers. As far as football blue blood goes, Notre Dame is the only other uni that comes close in that regard. Only .016% of draftable college players make it to the league and among those that do, even less last more than 2 years. AS talented as many of these kids are most will not make a living playing football. I would take a USC degree over any school in the SEC and it's not even close. 🤣😂 That's a biz decision, dollars and sense.
From people around USC they don’t really see us getting any big names this summer and so it all comes down to how USC plays this season for some of these guys

Our big-name coaches will warrant commitments, many will want to lock their spots.

USC has the best EDGE rusher prospects in Collge football. KAM FOUNTAIN and HAYDEN LOWE are next level thats why Gibson had to rethink.

@@Talkinsports91 we totally could use him but he’s not THE biggest need on the staff. I have no hard feelings and wish the kid well. Losing Terry would hurt more because our interior D Line needs the most help and depth.

The issue with USC is their defense has really went down the drain since Riley got there. And these top recruits are seeing it also.
And other top recruits see our upgrade in coaches and program. Riley has learned the hard way, as young coaches should. See ya game #3✌️

It is getting a little bit old listening to the USC talk. Southern Cal is a decent program, but you guys are not elite. Not even close. Georgia took one of your guys today. If Kirby wants him, Kirby gets him. I don’t mind you guys talking about Southern Cal football. That is perfectly fine. But you are not Georgia and you are not an SEC team, so tone the big talk down.

First off y’all ain’t flip shyt as Gibson ain’t committed to UGA nowhere on no sites. Y’all hoping he signs as the kid is still making his rounds of OVs. SC is in a strapped position when it comes to the Edge position so losing the decommitment doesn’t hurt personnel wise at all. Like the Roc Boys said SC is going big game hunting. Wait till after this weekend I smell another Edge commit but just know Griffin is the prize. Don’t be surprised when you see that ✌🏾it’s him in the fold.

I lift weights - free weights and NOT machines. There is a huge difference between the two. Not even close. I also know college football. Specifically, SEC football and its impact across the nation.
As I said, I don’t mind sites like this one for USC. That is fine and I got no problem with it. However, I am getting tired of the over the top braggadocio comments on here. You guys are NOT Georgia. Not even close. The Trojans would finish between #8 and #10 in the SEC. Uncomfortable FACT.
