Hate to say it but the Lab produce sharper results with better with less edge blurring and field curvature. But you're pretty close maybe try a higher mp body, lower aperture and sharper lens for crisp results
I appreciate the feedback! I believe I missed focus a bit on these examples but I can definitely see the need for a little sharper macro lens. Thanks for the support🙏🏼
Having a way to mitigate the cost of the film process would be super handy! At the moment, the cost keeps me from shooting much (well actually any) of it right now. This is a cool setup tho!
I think once I learn to develop here in house it will make it very worth it to shoot film on a regular basis! In the meantime, scanning has been a step in the right direction in avoiding lab charges👊🏼
It's actually a very enjoyable process, and can be started very inexpensively. I started with an Amazon light pad and my tripod lol The only "necessary" gear I would say to not skip on is a solid film holder/mask. Tape and hard drives just dont cut it😂
Interesting you went with the FD, I feel likes I'd want to go with a modern lens that's tack sharp.
Better glass can certainly be an option down the road!
It's hard to beat the FD setup (especially 1:1 ratio) though with it only being $60 lol

Thank you for this information! I need to start doing it, the lab costs are getting out of hand.
